Personally, I think he was a bit OTT in what he said in interviews yesterday

Bohs squad looking very young already for next yr, with just a sprinkling of experienced heads - Supple, Pender, Kavanagh, Corcoran and Ward.
Dont think I noticed Lunney before, but we have a good record recently of picking up bargains from Pats.

Eoin Wearen. Rob Cornwall too, lots of experience there. That`s a really settled team, by our recent standards. Will be interesting to see if there`s enough there to challenge for fourth place and whether O` Hora and Jamie Hamilton can continue to show real progress

It was the bit about Dundalk only having the fourth-highest budget in the league I thought was weird.

He was clearly confused - that's a really crowded space already

Lunney is an excellent signing for Bohs, he has a lot of potential, will be a tad annoying watching himself and Fuad Sule be good next season for probably next to nothing wages.
    Here on a technicality.

i thought it was strange for Pats to let him go all right. On the few occasions I saw Pats last year he always impressed me. Good touch, fairly strong lad with good athleticism and could play a bit. And what stood out most for me is that he really seemed to work exceptionally hard, running hard and closing down. Altho maybe that's coz so many Pats lads last season looked to be going through the motions.

I thought Sule was away off to England?

Nothing confirmed yet but Barnet are supposed to be back in for him.

First time Dundalk have beaten us in about 11 years, or 15 months or something...
Honestly disappointed we didn't get Murray, think he would have suited our style perfectly. Hope JC has a striker lined up.

    Derry have signed five players.
A Swede, a Scot, an American, a Ghanaian/English fella (youngest ever £1 million player), and Gavin Peers.

Aganovic was very good for Galway United a couple of seasons ago. Should be a good signing for Derry.

Personally, all for Derry's Championship Manager-esque Cherno Samba approach to the transfer market. Think we've got a least two 'next Freddy Adus' on the go now.

David Webster has signed for Waterford. They seem to be building a side that could end up being very competitive in the division.

Two good forwards for Dundalk in Hoban and Murray. I'd assume that means McMillan is on the way out? Be interesting to see how they're used, and if it leads to 2 up top.

It appears likely that David McMillan will sign for St Johnstone, but not a done deal as of this morning.

Going into last season Dundalk had David McMillan, Ciaran Kilduff and Thomas Stewart competing for the lone striker position, with Patrick McEleney at No 10.

Stephen Kenny will be trying hard to re-sign McMillan,McEleney and Benson. Depending on how that works out, it is well possible that Murray could play behind the main striker

DFC | Kenny still hoping that McMillan will stay at Dundalk FC

St Johnstone lead the chase for 28-year-old’s signature

Stephen Kenny is still hoping that David McMillan will remain at Dundalk next season despite heavy interest from Scottish outfit St Johnstone.
Speaking last week, Saints boss Tommy Wright sounded confident that he would land McMillan but Kenny said that as far as he was aware, no deal was in place to take the 28-year-old to Perth.
“David is in Sri Lanka and is due back this week,” he told Dundalk Sport. “I’ve had a bit of contact with him through WhatsApp but we’ll just have to wait and see.
“If he has agreed to leave then it’s not something I’m aware of because he assured me he would speak to me again and come back to me before he made any decision.”

I would see Murray sitting in right behind Hoban, a lot will depend on the current out of contract players and who stays and who else he gets in though. McMillan hasn't given his answer yet, but I wouldn't expect him to stay, if he does that's some forward line.

Dundalk will probably need another striker if as expected McMillan goes, whether that's a contract offer to Tommy Stewart or a new guy who knows.

Edit. Ezeikial, you read my mind !

Cofie looks a bizarre signing for Derry. Went on strike at Burnley at age 14 when they rejected a bid from Liverpool. Done nothing of note anywhere, including Stalybridge Celtic earlier this year. Derry will be his ninth club in the last three years.
