Their second choice is first choice at Racing so they should be ok.
Israel suffer 'keeper blow
Monday March 7th 2005
ISRAEL's first-choice goalkeeper is likely to miss the World Cup qualifier against the Republic of Ireland in Tel Aviv on March 26.
Nir Davidovich is facing possible surgery on a groin injury, which would rule him out of the home matches against Ireland and France in three weeks time.
The loss of the Maccabi Haifa 28-year-old, an ever-present in unbeaten Israel's Group 4 matches to date, would be a big blow. Davidovich kept a clean sheet against France in Paris in September and saved a penalty in Israel's 2-1 win against Cyprus in Nicosia before Christmas.
His expected replacement is Racing Satander 'keeper Dudu Anwat, who won his 14th cap in a 3-3 draw with Croatia in Jerusalem last month.
Their second choice is first choice at Racing so they should be ok.
Yeah but they have conceded 40 goals this year and also 3 goals in his last international. Not used to keeping clean sheets but you never know, he coudl have a stormer the night we play them Hopefully Sky may show a Racing game in the next couple of weeks
In Trap we trust
Some of the israeli fans over at bigsoccer.com are worried about their backup goalkeeper because I guess he's got the Roy Carroll syndrome. He let in 3 against Croatia in a friendly last month.
"Jacques Santini...will be greeted in every dugout of the country by "one-nil, one-nil" - Clive Tyldsley, 89th minute of France-England June 13, 2004.
"Ooooohhhh Nooooooo" Bobby Robson 91st minute.
Brilliant We might just pick up the 3 point !I guess he's got the Roy Carroll syndrome
