Yeah, I'd have to agree with the first penalty, it did look like he went looking for it. Decent save from the keeper, but his foul made the second penalty look a bit more clear cut.But it's difficult to tell 100% from streaming.Although the stream position was great, there was zero sound unfortunately. Very good crowd indeed down from Galway. Gonna be another big crowd in Terryland next week I'd say. We have to beat Dundalk realistically, just to be sure, and even then it might not be enough if Sligo win their last two games, which they well could do.We need a huge favor from Derry tomorrow night.

Looking on game on stream, a question for guys at game. Was McCormack dragged back in the box in injury time?
Agree that the first 2 pens looked amazing decisions.

No he wasnt minimum contact but he threw himself similar to the first galway dive/pen. That said I would have given the pen just to demonstrate how poor cotter was with his positioning

If Derry beat Pats next week, Galway beat Dundalk and Sligo lose to Derry but beat Drogheda then 3 teams end up on 38 points. Incredibly tight. We need a point in Derry (or Buncrana to be exact) and I think we're capable of getting it. We were terrific tonight to come back from 2 down. Lovely moves for goals 2,3 and 4. On Buttimer, that's crazy stuff. Remember him doing something similar at Pats a few years ago on the opening day of the season. I think it was against Sligo. How does he keep getting away with it ?
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

Other than Sadlier,Cork were awful tonight.Allowing Garvan the freedom of the park was bizarre.Pats took their chances though and will stay up
18 points dropped so far against the 3 North West teams and 3 away wins v top 3 !!
Irn Bru cup if it still going ahead?

Nice little trip to deepest darkest Scotland would be great.

Pats lucky to be playing a Cork team who didn't give a damn. I think Dundalk would play with a bit more pride if they'd already won the title. Galway probably still favourites to go down with Harps and Drogs.

Think it was mentioned previously, dundalk won the league last year, the next game was against St pats away, they lost 5-2. Drops mic...

I think it's just crazy all games aren't on at the same time for the last few rounds. Massive advantage for Sligo to know they only need a draw to stay ahead before playing Drogs on the last day, they surely approach this game differently now knowing Galway havent won

Exactly. I don't think Cork were deliberately not at it last night. It's just that with the best will in the world having won the league three days previously there just won't be the same intensity there, especially against a team fighting for their life, as we are. We also lost away in Cork in 2013 after clinching the title the previous week.

Did they really make 8 changes as posted by someone? Regardless of intensity or being on the rip, that is effectively fielding a B team. I wouldn't give them a pass for that

Interesting. It's definitely an advantage, but I think it'd be overly harsh to make Sligo switch to Fridays for the last few rounds.

Next week all games are on at the same time, why? To avoid any competitive advantage, this is organised from the start of the season so clubs know, it should be extended to the final three weeks as more often this is when the real action is, rather than the just the last weekend

Well if clubs know for that long then it's up to them to change it to their advantage and not to force it upon other clubs.

It should be mandated that all these last few rounds are on at the same time & you can't change it unless unavoidable circumstances like last night with Harps game. This wouldn't be a case of the FAI overstepping their jurisdiction, it is fairly standard now in most countries.

Ya, so you said. My point remains. If clubs know about it and feel their is an advantage then let them change it. They have plenty of time to do it.

You see my point but are ignoring it, the club shouldnt have the power to change the date of the fixture in these last few rounds

What advantage does it actually give? Knowing what you need doesn't mean you get it still have to go out and get the result, could even be argued it adds pressure.
