I've done a bit of digging. His mother's name is Fiona so I assume his Nigerian heritage is on his father's side. Hopefully we are fairly safe.

By my count, that's eighteen goals for the U-17s for Idah since he started playing for them in August of last year

Hopefully both go on to play top flight football despite being at such different UK clubs
And don't forget Aaran Connolly, who scored seven in last year's U-17 campaign who's already playing for Brighton's U-23s (played 30 mins tonight) and got some First-team minutes in the Carabao Cup earlier this season.

The last of the U17 qualifying groups finished last week, with the Ireland U17s ranked the best of the qualified sides, and Idah the current leading goalscorer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_U...on#Elite_round
Germany and Portugal went straight into the elite round and are the top ranked sides

Not bad, nothing to fear there, especially with seven of the eight second-placed teams also qualifying - let's hope top-scorer Idah can keep his phenomenal run going and/or Troy Parrott breaks through, after two sub appearances in the qualifying round

Following the inclement weather in Galway, #IRLU17’s clash with Turkey will now take place in Mervue instead of Eamonn Deacy Park this afternoon with a 1pm kick off. #COYBIG

LIKE TO MOURINHO- A striker of Nigerian origins grew up in the Corinthians College of Cork, his hometown, Idah is a player of great physical skills combined with an excellent basic technique and a moderate speed in tight spaces . These skills convinced the Canaries to engage him after a test match in which he signed a triplet to Peterborough; a vice that with multiple markings, as shown by the 3 goals scored also at Barnsley in an FA Youth Cup match at Carrow Road under the eyes of the first team technician Daniel Farke, who is keeping him under observation. Exactly like the Manchester United of José Mourinho, who in June will lose Zlatan Ibrahimovic and who has seen in Idah a player of sure future .

Very sprculatory isn't it with the United links? The "Nigerian origin" piece may be lost in translation as, I'm almost certain, his mother is Irish.

Great start for the U-17s - let's hope they can get a similar result against Georgia to secure qualification before facing Poland. One concern, though - Troy Parrott came on as a sub after 52 mins and was taken off on 74 mins, which is never a good thing - let's hope it isn't a serious injury

Is it so that they are the top scoring team in Europe in this and Idah the top scorer in this competition in Europe also ?

Great win today 2-0, Parrot(possible og) and Brennan. FAI twitter saying they've qualified, assumably because it looks like Macedonia beat Poland 1-0, however, some places are reporting Poland 3-0. On mobile so maybe 2 Teams go through.

Forget all that, too much sauce today.
