    Something Fishy!

Gnasher says: Happy enough with 2 - 3 joe. Hope the 'Boro win the cup as well.

Whats the story with Celtic A V's B. How can a team top of the premier league for god knows how long (since gnasher was a gnipper anyway) get hockeyed six zip by (on this seasons form) a mediocre Super League side?
There cannot be that much between those two teams. Methinks Mr. Dykes had something to do with this, does he manage both teams?

Definitely something fishy with Castlebar Celtic!

Predictions - gnasher goes for it!

He's spotted his chance to get out in front of the predictions league. Mossy and the don nowhere to be found. Thunderblaster on holiday?
    here we go:
    Celtic 1 - 1 manulla
    Erris 1 - 0 Ballyheane
    Glenhest 1 - 2 ballina
    Snuboro 2 - 1 S&F
    Swinford 1 - 3 Westport

    Bring on the pain!

    Up Mayo as well.

Great stuff from the Boro in the first 20 of each half, Westport put them under pressure again but the Back 4 were brilliant. The Port fought back from 3-0 down and a penalty and Vinny O'Malley header got them back in contention and could of got the third were it not for great keeping from Mick Wallace
    Spectacular Result.

Typing from the palm trees of paradise. Lovely hot weather and it is 35C.

    Celtic 2-1 Manulla
    Erris 2-1 Ballyheane
    Glenhest 0-2 Ballina
    Snugboro 2-0 S&F Utd
    Swinford 2-2 Westport.

The whip must have been cracked in Castlebar lately. The national champions seems to be going through a mini crisis. Snugboro are really surprising everybody. John Maughan will find it tough.

Now which is more important, the Elvery's Super League table or the Super League prediction table!
I know where my priorities lie.

Any news Gnasher, on the three points Westport were to be deducted?
It's the only chance anyone has of catching the Port this season.

Anyone have any opinions on why the Mayo U-21 side is losing every game?
Is the talent not there? Is it the management? It looks like a very young squad to me, a few U-18s and U-16s. Does Tierney want to keep a side together for a few years?

What about the Super Cup semi's?

    Boro V Ballyheane and Manulla V ******

I'd love to see a Boro-****** final. ****** and Boro are the form sides out of the 4.

I think there'll be an article in the Mayo News this week about websites of Mayo soccer.

Foot.ie should get a good mention.

Foot.ie! Mayo soccer outside the super league

First time posting so be gentle with me. I have been reading for a while and I am dissapointed because this forum has become just like the mayo papers. If it is not happening in the super league then it is not happening. There is a lot happenning in the other divisions that need highlighting and debating.

    eg.

1.The collapse of Urlaur and ballyvary.

    2. What is happening with the Claremorris strikers (57 goals and counting).

3 The battle for promotion in division 2b.

    Just to name a few.

Come on lets open up the forum to MAYO soccer as the forum title says and not just super league.

Gnasher says: Joe_denilson, Super League table means more, the 'boro are a cup team this year now because ye are safe from the drop. Why did your momma name you after the former 'great hope' of brazilian football? Are there that many brazilian admirers in your club? Has not started to rub off on teh players!!! (cheeky)

Don't know if they got the points docked. The hearing on the suspensions was last night so maybe if someone on the 'inside' of the mayo league is a poster on this thread they can find out and tell us. Personally, I think we get docked the points but get reduced suspensions. Big week again this week, two games in three days, second week running, gonna get harder 'fore it get better.

Short_frank raised an interesting point, I remember Urlaur earlier on this year, barely fielded a team of hungover lads and were still not too bad, a lot of bickering though, seemed like they were on the slippery slope.

On the subject of the claremorris strikers, I have seen them play and they are better than division one, but they are not playing against the best defences in the county. They will definitely get promoted but a good measure of the teams in that division is how many goals they concede, rather than score.

    Well Lads,
    super frank welcome,
yes claremorris are flying this year but every step up will get tougher for them but they deserve to be in premier division next year see how good they against swinford, castlebar ****** b etc

division 2b is getting real tight i think yes partry out on front and as i say from the start, they win division but be very tight with moy villa and now charlestown coming fast up behind, castlebar ****** c wont last the pace i think.

what the story about ballyheane one point deduction for abusing the ref in one game is that appeal?
