Oh yes...now I see your side of the debate....

Lennox is probably the most ambitious chairman we've had in a long long time....and how exactly has he cheated us ? I won't pretend to know the whole story of what went on in the last few weeks, but Lennox is still with City and so gets my support....

Corner, you've made points based on your feelings and none based on fact.
It's hard for others to take your posts on board because you don't give us any reason to believe that you have an informed opinion.

    just giving my own opinion

sacking probably the best manager in the league with 2 weeks cannot be a good decision

Or striving to win the title for himself, perhaps.
If the club was his priority, his behaviour doesn't reflect that.

What we need to do now is look forward.
We still have a club to support.

Wanting something for yourself but mistreating the people who can get it for you is hardly the right way to go about it.

the best manager in the league is Pat Fenlon. FACT. Not opinion. In two seasons with Cork City Pat Dolan did nothing to to suggest he could change this FACT.

Trying to hold the chairman to ransom and using the players as his pawns in the media.
Don't pretend Dolan is blameless in all of this.

There are too many Dolan threads and I can't keep up with all of them.

It's been a long two years.

    Onwards and upwards!
I've nothing more to say on this subject.

fenlon has the resources available to him to sign any player he wants, and he did, signing anyone he could claim as a major coup.

exactly teh qualities you disbarage in dolan.

im not pretending he's blameless but "Trying to hold the chairman to ransom and using the players as his pawns in the media. " is a bit dramatic?

fenlon had money available and spent accordingly (for the record i HOPE THIS ENDS in severe financial crisis - getting knocked out early in setanta and europe would actually destroy shels imo)

dolan had less money available and obviously wanted lennox to spend as recklessly as shels - hence lennox told him to fck off - and rightly so!

as manager its his job to try to get the best out of lennox he can. lennox could have just continued saying no, rather than fck off.

I call it a day on this - we could argue till the cows come home - basically he's been sacked so its a question of what now ? not the backward looking what aboutery

ure in a lot of lucrative competitions like setanta - you have a good squad - great crowds and a strong owner/chairmen - if you guys land a level headed manager -ie not in the roddy/dolan nutter mould you MIGHT actually win silverwear this season!

I Hope it is advertised as I think that will show Brians desire for the club.

Someone with experience with a Full Time set up, there really isn't any one that stands out in Ireland bar Fenlon and Kerr neither will we get. Doolin has spent more than Pat with no return so I would question his worth to the club and besides he is happy where he is. We need a manager that can develop a team not develop with the team.
This will show rewards a lot faster then a three year plan.

I still wish Pat well and I know what ever club takes him on will get a manager that the club will be happy with.
