Every time I think the League is starting to turn a corner, it reveals itself as a worn out hacky joke that's far from funny .

"The Football Association of Ireland has launched an investigation into alleged match-fixing surrounding the friendly match between Bray Wanderers FC and Waterford FC on Friday, September 8 at the Carlisle Grounds.Upon receipt of a complaint the FAI notified An Garda Siochanna and the Association has now launched an investigation into alleged breaches of FAI Rules.
The FAI has a zero tolerance policy to match-fixing."

I did do a double take when I saw the result....
"Upon the receipt of a complaint" - interesting, the scoreline looked daft even for a friendly considering the strength of both lineups. If there's irregular betting patterns identified then the LOI has another explosive scandal that not even the PFAI can try to bury their heads in the sand over.
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians
With three men and a dog present, was there betting at all??? Even occasional, never mind regular ...
On second thoughts, look at the teams, substitutions etc. (They're here for anyone who hasn't seen them.)
How could you plan to fix a match under those circumstances?
PS Sorry, I haven't been able to discover who had the whistle.

What was the score in the game?
Hopefully there is a sh!tstorm surrounding Bray which is a distraction for them on Friday night.
Club statement tonight:
Bray Wanderers FC Club Statement
Bray Wanderers FC wish to acknowledge that they are aware of an investigation by An Garda Siochana into a recent fixture involving the Club. We are cooperating fully and will be making no further comment until the investigation is completed and we have been presented with the findings. Ends
Club seems to contradict the FAI statement, saying the Gardaí (not the FAI) are investigating - or else they're ignoring the FAI probe and cooperating with the fuzz. Intriguing.
Nothing from Waterford so far.

Doubt there will be anything from Waterford.
I'm told that we aren't been investigated, so we won't be making any comment on the matter.
Is there any video footage of the game? I'm assuming there's not and as that appears to be the key evidence for the FAI, my hunch is that the investigation won't turn up anything.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
Paula Brady by the looks of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahW9qGD52Tw
Also has four of the goals.
Gardaí visited a Bray Wanderers training session on Tuesday night as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of match fixing surrounding a friendly match played last week.
The Seagulls faced Waterford on Friday, as both clubs had no competitive match due to the FAI Cup quarter-finals, with the First Division club recording a 5-0 rout.
The FAI last night confirmed that they had launched their own investigation into the alleged match-fixing.
As part of their enquiries, gardaí arrived at the Carlisle Grounds to speak with relevant parties and the scheduled training session didn't go ahead. The Seagulls insisted they are assisting the authorities with the investigation.

A humiliating development for LOI football.
Hopefully the garda can get some answers on why the players are playing so badly lately, it really is criminal how bad they are at the moment, obviously Harry can't get through to the players.
That cat looks guilty as hell, definitely in on it.
Firstly isn't it great to see a young kid like that so passionate about his local team THATS what makes the league special.
second....Bray defending was woeful first two looked like they were teeing them up for Waterford, but with anything is it it just bad play or criminal....hard to call.
I think it's very clear that the FAI should relegate Bray and block Waterford's promotion, hence meaning only the bottom team goes down this year.
