danny o connor confident for this season

    todays star

danny o connor reckons he can hit the heights with his new club longford town.

the 24 year old centre half has just returned with his new club from a preseason training camp in spain.

during their stay they lost out 3-2 to seville and 1-0 to danish highflyers fc midtjylland.

and o connor said "they were two good games and we did really well.it was a decent trip all round.

it has shown that there is a very strong squad at longford and there will be serious compettion for places-there is plenty of top cover."

o connor signed from drogheda in the close season, played in both preseason friendlies for the back to back fai cup winners alongside skipper barry ferguson.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Murph was near me at the match last night, he's injured at the moment but should be back in a week or so according to himself, he was running up the steps anyway. He was so eager to be involved he had Dessie Baker's jersey on!
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

excellent interview with danny o connor in todays daily star on sunday!

its is about him either having to give up his day job with first active or go part time!
he remembers with fondness his drogs days but he is very looking forward to the challenge with us!
