Kenny breaks silence on Ireland job links: https://www.dundalkdemocrat.ie/news/...job-links.html
I've bolded 12 that are currently in the top 20 favourites in one of the bookmakers. They also include:
Clement, Paul
Hughton, Chris
Keane, Roy
Redknapp, Harry
Kerr, Brian
Moyes, David
Bilic, Slaven
Grayson, Simon
Maybe just go with those unless somebody realistic has been omitted. Maybe McDermott instead of Roy Keane?
(They had Noel King at No. 21 - Phew!).
There's 18. I'm sure there will be one or two that I've culled that somebody else wants back on
Allardyce, Sam
Bosz, Peter

Edit: 19 now. Kingdom had expressed support for Bradley, so I reinstated him.

Amazing what being nice over an extended period of time with the football journalists gets you. They love a man who will give em a story and happy to be pals with em for off the record chats. Old boys network strikes once again.
Let’s keep doing what we always have done. Give it to the old timer with experience who is also a bit of a man motivator.

This would also be the very same Harry Redknapp who stripped Robbie Keane of the captaincy and gave him the heave-ho from Spurs after he took the lads to Dublin for a secret Christmas party? Just a hunch, but i can't see that one working out somehow.
Perhaps a combination of Michael O'Neill and Robbie Keane would be better. I'm not sure how they would work together but it would save printing new initials on their tracksuits.

Would it be nuts to suggest 2 polls. There are obviously 2 frontrunners for the job, but speaking for myself the 2 things i would find most interesting is would be in who has more support between Kenny v McCarthy, and then who people would go for outside of those 2.
Or is there a means of giving people more than 1 vote <insert nordie joke here>?

Harry is too old now in any case . His success was based a lot on signing players coming to the end of their contracts and giving them huge wages . There was no big transfer fee so if it didn’t work out it didn’t look too bad but it was costing the clubs fortunes in big wages / signing on fees . These were very good players who were making fortunes out of this . Ok , he often did get them to play well for him .
The idea that Redknap would get average players to do well for him is pretty fanciful thinking .
I would go for McCarthy and I'd agree exactly with what Kevin Kilbane said yesterday on Off the Ball. McCarthy or Allardyce would get instant respect from everyone if they walk in whereas most of the English born lads in the squad would be saying, 'Who is Stephen Kenny?' and he'd have to prove himself...He also said that he has the utmost respect for Brian Kerr but said that Kerr didn't get that much respect from the squad in general when he was in charge.

"We lost because we didn't win"- Ronaldo
you say this about McCarthy "might rouse the lads initially but it will tail off" and then go on to suggest Rednapp who has done nothing of note in many years???

Was suggesting partnerships to consider , wouldn't fancy Redknapp in the role myself - should have made that clear
Yes, I believe people said the same as Kilbane is saying now when Arsenal appointed some unknown Frenchman with very limited playing experience back in 1996.
Killer is good friends with Mick. That is no secret.
