Connolly has reportedly enjoyed a recent trip to New York City with his ex-girlfriend. Meanwhile, the Hull City Vice-Chairman Tan Esler says "it has been more or less agreed with the player and with Brighton" that Connolly will join Hull on loan, if possible before the FA Cup game with Fulham. (Hull Live, 2 Jan)
Liam Rosenior would have worked with Connolly when he coached with Brightons U23s.
The New York trip was covered in Mail Online on 30 December. I hope, for Connolly's sake, and of course the BIG, that some stability in his personal life might increase the chances of a successful loan spell and the rehabilitation of his football career after unimpressive spells with Venezia and Middlesboro.
Quite fortunate a Championship club is willing to take a chance on him? Felt like the move to Italy was a bit of last chance saloon.
A lot of clubs at that level desperate for a forward this time of year and he's probably a low risk loan signing financially with Brighton likely happy to cover most of his wages to get rid. If he could find fitness and form he'd be a good signing at that level. Worst case scenario it doesn't work out, they can detach him from the first team squad and he leaves in May. That said, it's a decline from where he was last year (promotion pushing Championship team) so if this one doesn't work out it will be League 1 at best next season.
A year back at Galway UTD might do him the world of good.
I'm a bloke,I'm an ocker
And I really love your knockers,I'm a labourer by day,
I **** up all me pay,Watching footy on TV,
Just feed me more VB,Just pour my beer,And get my smokes, And go away
for what you have said about this fellow in recent months the gold diggers got this silly bourgeois guy, in the palm of their hands
he needs some family relatives to take away the ladies out of him, maybe his mother or sisters can give some aid
What about a few clips of a hurley regularly, could that settle him a bit would you think ?
Was training with the Hull squad this morning so move should be announced soon.

You can't spell failure without FAI
Not even sure you could call this last chance saloon. He's already been kicked out of the last chance saloon.
Hope it works out for him.
Fair dues to his agent is all I can say
On the bench already today in FA Cup. Third time lucky for Connolly on his loan odyssey?
On for his debut with half an hour to go; Hull 1-0 down at home to Fulham
Yea, he actually looks pretty fit. Working hard off the ball too
