Guess who’s back? Back again… Conno’s back. Tell a friend.

Goal! Leyton Orient 1, Stockport County 2. Aaron Connolly (Leyton Orient) right footed shot from outside the box to the bottom right corner. Assisted by Ollie O'Neill.

We might need a Leyton Orient Irish and Opposition Irish thread

Aaron, Ollie, Tayo and Sean Clare all playing for the O’s.

May have been a race worth winning it seems - Obafemi without a squad number at Burnley and no sign of a move

If he can establish himself as a solid League One player, while it will be below what we'd have hoped, it will be better than it looked for him not too long ago. To be fair to him he has tried hard in the last year to re-establish himself, harder than Obafemi seems to have been trying.

I presume Obafemi will go somewhere late in the window, but he just doesn't seem to have the commitment and dedication to go with his natural ability so I suspect we may not see him in an Ireland jersey again. Which is a shame because he's got the ability to win more caps.

Another goal for Aaron today. 1-1 at halftime away to Cardiff. That's his 4th of the season I think, in his 11th game.

I was watching this & he changed the game from the bench. He has 5 in 12 with 1 assist, playing the 90 minutes in all but two of those, subbed on tonight, subbed off on 87 minutes in another. Two not in squad games so probably knocks. Hopefully not AWOL on benders. Good luck to him.

    Tayo Adramola was good too.

    some gut on him though
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Hard to know if he’s got himself together regarding behaviour, addiction etc or just if he’s playing at a level so far below his actual level that he can look really good while still everything is out of control

In fairness league one is a decent level you certainly need to be physically robust given all the games that are played. His issue at a higher level even if he gets all his addiction s under control is where does he play? Never was pacey enough or skillful enough to play wide in a front 3 and never was big or physical enough to play on own up top. Playing off a front man in a 2 suits most I think but limits the number of teams he could play with

I just watched the highlights, lovely play on the wing for his assist. All he can do is keep playing well at this level and he might get a move up to another level. A career in League One, while not at the standard he hoped for, is still a good way to make a living
