https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/unde...-coventry-city Another for Cassidy at 23 level.
Fantastic step-up in level so far for him - let's hope he can keep it going. Meanwhile Aaron Connolly got his second in three games for Brighton U23s and his fourth at this level (admittedly not as quickly as Cassidy but at least he's keeping the goals ticking over): https://www.brightonandhovealbion.co...-on-09-feb-18/
glen mccauley made his debut for Liverpool 23s on Saturday
Very good news and well-deserved after 18 months of scoring regularly at U18 level. Joins all the other U18 strikers who have made the step-up to U23 level this year - Cassidy, Connolly, Afolabi, Idah and Obafemi.
Speaking of Obafemi, he was on the scoresheet for Southampton U23s tonight in a 5-1 victory over Newcastle - Aaron O'Driscoll played the full 90 and Thomas O'Connor played the last half-hour: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...-v-southampton
Jack Clarke and Jake Doyle-Hayes both featured as Aston Villa U23s hammered Wolves 6-1. https://www.premierleague.com/match/...7-18/tbc-v-tbc Callum O'Hare scored and got an assist but I guess our chances of snagging him are diminished since he accepted a call-up to England U20s in November (although Ciaran Clark did come on board after playing right up to that level)
Shane McLoughlin got another goal for Ipswich U23s but it wasn't enough to prevent a 2-1 defeat by Charlton: https://www.itfc.co.uk/news/2018/feb...e-to-charlton/
Corey O'Keeffe, who was on the bench for Birmingham's senior team on Saturday, scored for their U23s against Crewe: https://www.bcfc.com/news/articles/2...a-under-23s-0/
Ryan Nolan was an unused sub for Inter Milan yesterday as they lost 3-2 in a penalty shoot out to Man City after the tie finished 1-1 in normal time: http://www.uefa.com/uefayouthleague/#/iv/match/2024225
Lee O'Connor and Conor Masterson facing off against each other for Manchester United and Liverpool respectively, with Glen McAuley on the bench, in the UEFA Youth League at 2pm. It's live on BT Sport 2 if anyone is able to watch it.
2-0 to liverpool, Masterston started and finished. O'connor was withdrawn by utd with a few mins left as they were chasing the game.
McAuley got a runout but only for the last couple of minutes.
Aaron Drinan scored twice as Ipswich's U23 side beat West Brom, Barry Cotter played and had a long range shot saved.
Robert McCourt and Evan Pierce lined out for West Brom

For the third time in recent weeks, Shane McLoughlin scored Ipswich's goal in a 2-1 defeat - this time to Cardiff. Hopefully he'll start getting goals that make a difference soon. Aaron Drinan and Corrie Ndaba also played: http://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/u23s-car...wn-1-1-5426450
Cotter has been playing for their U23 side recently. Think he picked up a knock in the last game.
Michael Obafemi got Southampton's goals in their 2-1 victory over Adam Idah's Norwich City: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...pton-v-norwich. Amazing to think that Obafemi, still only 17, is actually younger than Idah. Maybe we should move him down to U17 level - a strikeforce of Obafemi, Idah, Cassidy and Parrott would be fantastic at that level, with the Elite Round coming up.
Ronan Hale nabbed a hat trick for Derry at home to Limerick in a 5-0 win. That should do the confidence wonders.
Conor Masterson starting for Liverpool against Manchester City in the UEFA Youth League, with Tyreke Wilson and Glen McAuley in the bench for their respective sides. Live on BT Sport 2 right now.
The game finished 1-1, with City going on to win on penalties: https://www.uefa.com/uefayouthleague...match/2024233/
Masterson missed his penalty for Liverpool, neither Wilson nor McAuley made it off the bench for their sides
Two more goals for Aaron Drinan tonight (his fifth and sixth since his move by my reckoning), however he couldn't prevent a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Leeds U23s: https://www.itfc.co.uk/news/2018/mar...aten-by-leeds/
Corey O'Keeffe got an assist for Birmingham U23s as they drew with Bristol City: https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/report-b...ham-city-u23s/
Aiden O'Brien played for Millwall U23s as part of his comeback from injury set up one of their goals in a 2-2 draw with Forest: https://www.millwallfc.co.uk/news/20...re-at-the-den/
A few days after scoring for Watford's U18s, Ryan Cassidy played the second half for their U23s: https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/unde...ield-wednesday
Anyone seen or heard much of Rowan Roache at Blackpool; seems to be doing quite well.
