Anyone know who the teams who`ve gotten a bye are? i presume there is 7 of them?
Do you get into another cup if you lose this round ???? (just for Jake the Snake )
Here is my understanding of who got a bye into the second round as they either lost in the first round or got a bye and lost in the second round of there own cup
Castleview / Grattan B / Strand / Greenmount / Temple / Blackstone Rovers / UCC A /
Why not scrap the mossy from next year or play it as as knockout competition at the end of the season maybe the Premier and Premier A leagues might not be so backed up then start the season with league games
Well seeing as the Mossie Linnane is a league cup like the St Michaels cup , Saxone Cup and Presidents Cup I think if you are going to scrap one then maybe scrap them all . If not then definitely a good idea to play the Mossie as a straight knock out like the others and start it at the same time as the rest of those cups
Cloughduv FC*are looking for a friendly at home next Saturday, 24th March at 2pm.

Was talking to A player today at A game and he informed me that its Real shame to see A Club in the Aul having to Fold B team because of lack of numbers for the A team some big questions need to be answered by the Clubs comitee but who is to blame is it the B team Manager or A team manager
Would love to know who you're talking about not much A games on around so thinking ur talking about Grattan?
It always amazes me how clubs with no underage structure can have an A and B team to support this you need at least 40 players and ideally closer to 50.Thats some amount of players you effectively have to attract off the street.
In some instances by having a B team you weaken the A and as a result the club competes at a lower level overall.
i would guess it`s Knockraha ???
Grattan B won`t be folding anyway.
They are doing a great job this season
and Grattan A have a nucleus of about 16
so would only need to borrow a player or two at most
at any given time.
Knockraha B bottom of the 3rd division Knockraha A 2nd last in div 1
Knockraha A should stay up ahead of UCC if they don`t fold.
Knockraha B can always rejoin where they left off in Div 3 at any point.
I believe Grattan have been if not will be thrown out of the AOH for fielding an illegal player in recent game.. the player in question played in same competition against tower...
Not nice to hear about Hillington pulling out of the league tonight a club 50 years old loyalty gone in football hard to get good club men these days
Is it confirmed that Hillington have folded?
I was under the impression they wanted to keep it together this year to reach their anniversary celebrations
then reconsider the future.
Either way it`s been some fall for the club in the last 15 years
from competing both in AUL Premier & AUL 2
to struggling to field a team at the bottom of Division 3.
How many other clubs are looking dodgy for next season i would wonder
Sad to hear if it is true about Hillington, but they aren't the first club this season and probably wont be the last unfortunately. With the back log of fixtures now a lot of teams are going to struggle to field teams towards the end of the season if they haven't much to play for accept pride, especially with the GAA started up. Your right it is getting harder and harder to find fellas who are dedicated enough to stick it out through thick and thin with clubs, loads have opinions on how things should be done and what fellas should do but in the end when push comes to shove and they are asked to get involved they run for the hills.
