    Cork Geography Question.

I'm currently doing the crosword in Village magazine. Stuck on a few, but here's one for the Cork /Kerry boys....

Clue: Look, Sire, strange Cork village looking North-West to 10.

Its got 7 letters, and the ones I've got so far are E_E_ _ _S,
The 10 reference in the clue is a place called Derrynane in Kerry.

    Help greatly appreciated.

Are you sure those letters are right? It looks like it should be an anagram of 'look sire'.

Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

AN anagram of 'Look Sire' would have 8 letters, wouldn't it. Anyway, all my other answers are correct. I got the first 'e' from: Chanticleer has Oz Lager at North London station....answer Cockfosters..****=chanticleer, oz lager=fosters, train station in nth London=cockfosters.??

    The third letter 'e'; I got from: Definite article I make my topic....Definite Article= The, my=me, Answer=theme??

The 'I' (dodgy) comes from: It might lie about St Mary on a foggy morning (5,4). I said early mist, morning=early. Foggy, St Mary = Mist?? reckon thats ok.

The final 's' : One found in supersonic travel.....person.

    other one:

Is it gone around Kilkenny town?

    9 letters...what I've got so far is: I-I---O-E.

I 99% thinks that theres an 'R' inthe middle, that would make it: I-I-R-O-E.

It is one of the nicest places in the Country. Stumbled across it a few years back during a visit home. Was doing the tourist thing driving around the south.

Is there a waterfall near Eyeries called (I think) the cascades? If its the place I'm thinking of, it has to be one of the best places to get away from it all in the country (outside the Cavan - Leitrim border).
don't worry, they couldn't hit an elephant at this dis......

I think that's part of the attraction of West Cork.
Some places are too remote and as yet, not overrun by tourists.
I love getting up high on the hills down there and looking out over Beara Peninsula/Kenmare.

While we're on the subject of Kerry and tourism, has anyone been to the Tom Crean exhibition? I think it's in Annascaul, around the Dingle area.

Got the book, Unsung Hero and the calendar from Santa.
Always had an interest but a few years ago I was asked to review the Guinness ad before it was released and that rekindled my interest.
