    World Football / Other Sports

Thinking of changing "General Football" to "World Football" and adding an "Other Sports" forum, what do ye think? (It was the rugby discussion that prompted the latter, I've seen a few rugby discussions lately.)

'World Football' certainly sounds better than 'General Football'. Would 'other sports' be a sub-forum?

You'll get away with that so long as you don't call it the "Rugby" forum because some folk around here are offended by the oval ball.

I'm for it. As it is General Football is a bit vague in meaning IMO

the general/world option imho is neither here nor there but the other idea about other sports getting a forum is a great idea as it saves people posting in off topic something that is of a sporting nature but not nessessarily about footie.

i'm sure most people on here are very interested in at least one if not more other sports that they would'nt mind seeing being discussed on the site in addition to the main "theme of the reading" i.e soccer

    thats my tuppence worth fwiw

btw why is this not in feedback ?

    twas a gallant fight mr o b,
but alas i fear that despite the active promotion of said icon, i fear both your good self and moi risk excommunication by the man with the big "d" if we pursue our tireless crusade to bring to the attention of the board our "icon that stands for all things good in this life".

Go for it! This is a sports forum primarily so good demand for Other Sports. Also think World Football (leave non-irish description below on main page) is good move.

Holy crap, we agreed on something!

Right, I've moved a few threads in there now so it doesn't look like the Dáil on Paddy's Day, if you notice anything else that belongs there just post the URL of the thread here, or PM it to me.

That wouldn't make much sense. It's a forum for sports other than football, hence 'other sports'
