I think we can all safely say Derry are a joke and should be kicked out of the league now. A disgrace. 30 point deduction on the way.
And sure as night follows day, Derry City have decided to switch matchdays again. Not that it's been announced by the club, mind, but rather by journalists.
We're back to Friday nights for the visits of Bray, Harps and Pats.
No confirmation yet, but that postponed game against Drogheda is pencilled in for Friday 29th September.
Just for the record, so far this season we've gone from Sundays, to Fridays, to Sundays, and now back to Fridays. Nice touch giving Bray fans eight days notice of the switch too.

Drogheda might just stay up after all.
That Derry-Drogheda match is now confirmed for Friday 29th September.
Drogheda must be fancying their chances now.
Suggestions being made that Harps v Dundalk next Saturday will be moved to 5:30pm kick off and broadcast live on RTE. Nightmare for us.

Donegal League have two divisions of Saturday football.
Attendance will be hit because more people will simply choose to watch at home like the Cork game.
We also lose the entire gantry side of the ground to TV crew. The only decent toilet block, away area, and club shop all closed off.
TV takes the bottom end of the main stand as their 'studio' area too, so we can't even use that as an alternative away section. If 100 Dundalk fans come up, we've nowhere to put them.

We'll cordon off either a section of the Town End Terrace or main stand if we need segregation at all. Space will not, sadly, be anything resembling an issue.

Why would they even want to televise this fixture? Why not Cork's game next weekend?
My guess is that they are contracted to cover x number of games and are very short on interesting ones. After all, if we win we hand the title to Cork. Which could happen if for some reason Dundalk crash the bus or something.
