got this from www.soccercentral.ie Cork City boss Liam Murphy has rounded on his under-achieving players after the Turner’s Cross faithful expressed their disappointment with a 0-0 draw with Dundalk by aiming verbal abuse at the dugout.
“If it hadn’t been for Michael Devine making a few saves, we would have been well-beaten,” fumed Murphy. We just did not work hard enough. I’m not happy with the effort that was put in, not happy at all.”
“It is sickening to see sides like Dundalk work harder than us. Our game is based on putting the opposition under pressure and when we don’t do that, we struggle to get going.”
“There are certain players who are getting a bit of stick from the crowd and they lack a bit of confidence when they have the ball.”
“Pressure is part of the game and we have all had it at one time or another. We must get over it and we must get back to helping and encouraging each other.”
i wonder who the players are![]()
