Am I to take it Dustin is through then? It's a pity the final isn't in Istanbul. The turkey going to Turkey has a nice ring to it as a two fingers to the competition ...though the Turkish might be a bit offended but how bad?
For once I might just root for "us" this year.

" I wish to God that someone would be able to block out the voices in my head for five minutes, the voices that scream, over and over again: "Why do they come to me to die?"
Raging, the Eurovision final is on the same time and date as the Ireland v Serbia game, in Serbia!

Unfortunately, we and our neighbours can't compete with the Balkans with conventional songs, so we have to send acts like this, or else we'll finish bottom every time, like last year and 4 years ago. It's regrettable, but it's not a song contest anymore, it's an entertainment show, and the weirdest, wackiest, most obscure entries win.
There are people who call for the song to be disqualified, but if monsters can compete in Eurovision, so can Dublinese-screaming puppets. The blame for all this can be put at Svante Stockselius' door, his semi-final and televoting procedures have turned the contest into what it is today.
Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.
i was always a fan of the eurovision. Its a joke these days, nothing to do with a song contest. Obviously the Irish public agree. Two fingers to th eurovision.
see the result

I agree with DanaWe shouldn't enter the competition if the Irish public feels that way about it. What's the point in entering a competition to take the p**s out of it? It's like Wenger playing his Under 18 team in the FA or Carling cups. DOn't like it.
I quite liked the song by the one with the short red skirt.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
Great ****take if you ask me. Dustin can't sing though. As a matter of fact, he's pluckin' awful.

the Sligo / Stoke comment was quite funny
Kom Igen, FCK...

Great to see us finally treating the Eurovision with the seriousness it deserves.
The Eurovision should have been scrapped years ago. It's way beyond its sell by date. Most of the "songs" have been traditionally woeful but the stage performance and explosions of late tend to hold as much sway as the "song" these days.
Dustin is a logical response to what Eurovision has become.
Quoting years at random since 1975
Just seen it on Youtube. I'm in tears.![]()
This is the cooooooooooooolest footy forum I've ever seen!
Me too. A great p!sstake.
'Eastern Europe we love you. Do you like our Irish stew?'
'Please give us another chance. We're very sorry for Riverdance'
Some great digs at Bono and Terry Wogan too!
'Fascists dress in black and go round telling people what to do, where as priests.....'
I really want him to win as it will be the wake up the committee needs. The public Vote has destroyed Eurovision as a song contest with the Eastern European back slapping and sticking two fingers up to the west, so heres two feathered Claws right back at them. go on Ya Good Thing

Why did she sit on the panel , she knew in advance Dustin was one of the contestants and could possibly win..and then she starts to moan and suggest that we now don't enter...pity we couldn't apply the same standards when she got elected as a Euro MEP.... some attitude for someone who was very happy to accept the democratic wishes of the people when it suited her to do so.
