THE cast of Ireland's favourite soap, Fair City, will swap their scripts for football boots when they take on Sligo Rovers in a charity match to raise much needed funds for the paediatric ward of Sligo General Hospital at the Showgrounds on Saturday, March 5th.
Boyband Zoo will also be there to lend their support and indeed football skills for this worthy cause.
The Fair City team travelling from Dublin will include some of the favourite characters, such as Bella, played by Jim Bartley; Leo, played by Dave Duffy and Mike, played by Seamus Moran.
The match will kick-off at 7pm and tickets are available at €5 at the ground on the day of the game. Afterwards, the two teams will attend a reception and dinner at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Ballincar.
The stars of Fair City last played at the Showgrounds in 1996 for 'People in Need.'
