We're past the half way mark, surely every game from here on would be a walkover rather than striking out previous results.

Not sure. They probably haven't made the rule up yet

It was around the same point of the 2012 season that Monaghan pulled out wasn't it? Remember the criticism of John Delaney out drinking with the Irish fans in Poland while the craic with Monaghan was going on at home and he didn't seem to know much about it.

Looks like another Monaghan United may be around the corner.

Players to go on strike and Bray unable to fulfil fixtures.

    Strike!!

Bray players to go on strike.

Notice of seven days must be handed to employers for strike action, with a statement from Bray players expected tomorrow to confirm that will happen next week.

So three points for Bohs then?

When was the last time a league team scratched a game? Or has it ever happened? (All I can think of is Middlesbrough v Blackburn in the late 90s, which ultimately got them relegated)

What a disaster, they're not going to make the end of the season. Another Monaghan as White Horse pointed out. At a time when Dundalk and Cork are trying to be flagships, at least two of the fleet behind them are on the verge of sinking to the bottom of the ocean.

Athlone 2 years ago. Players refused to travel to Waterford after not being paid

Strike action to take place v Cork game it seems.(RTÉ have updated the original statement)
It means they will be playing their match with Bohemians on 20 July, but strike action will go ahead for the match with Cork City on 27 July.
Limerick players are in a similar situation with wages outstanding and it is believed that they could follow suit if the problems continue.

will cork have to k/o the match to claim the points??

Dark days for the league these

No, they just have to be prepared to play.

Not great news for us, especially as we have the Euro Bye should we fail to beat Legia. We probably would have had a decent crowd (~3k).

This would be illegal as you can only picket outside your employers business and not anyone else's.

Hopefully we can see out the season even if it means playing the under 19s and under 17s. I'm sure the FAI would want the league season completed and there are only 12 games to go.
Best case then would be for the present owners to go and someone else takes over and we can rebuild in the First division.

The FAI need to bring in the test the FA have in England "fit and proper person" I know it hasn't prevented some dodgy characters taking over clubs in the UK but at least it would give them the ability to react to things like this.
Assuming Bray go down and even if they don't they SURELY wont get a PD licence next year you'd have to imagine the current owners will walk at that point.

Would the underage teams cross a picket to play?

And while against the law to picket other businesses, its happened without consequence before. Bus Eireann strikers picketed Irish Rail sites last year in "wildcat" actions, and not always shared depots.

Edit: Not that I think Bray players would actually do such a thing.

I know that. But I also have a fair idea what picketing the Carlisle grounds will get them. Desperate times and all that.

Will the PFAI be balloting their members to come out in sympathy I wonder.

Actually I don't. They will in their arse.
