Keith Buckley was having a good go earlier at the Bray twitter account over not receiving any contact from the club or hearing anything about when training starting back

What I can see on his Twitter is that Conor Kenna and Liam O'Brien are the new management team.
    Unless he is being sarcastic?
If it is true, it is to be welcomed as we need to be signing players to catch up with other teams that have been much more active - we already down 5 or 6 players, with no one new in!

    He was joking about Kenna.

    He's referring to this: https://twitter.com/bloodbuckley66/s...62224634679297

    Quality banter
best away trip in the league even without the 3 points, although its been so long I've kind of forgotten the feeling of coming back from Galway without the points.

I've got nothing. It will end eventually, hopefully in our lifetime

Rumours all over the internet that bray won’t be in the league next year absolute jokeshop if this happens after we have lost players who would have stayed if we were in the premier.

The Fai are an absolute disaster

Interesting tweet from Bray a few minutes ago

The fixtures for the 2018 SSE Airtricity League season will be released on December 19th. With 36 league games in the PREMIER DIVISION next season, our season will kick off on Friday, February 16th.

Emphasis on "PREMIER DIVISION" theirs, not mine.

Interview with Denis O'Connor (he hasn't gone away you know) in today's Bray People. Unfortunately he's the one in charge of Bray's licence application. He has the poor mouth on saying Bray will be scrutinised more than most after last season but there's nothing in to say he's not expecting to get a Premier licence. More moans about the Carlisle Grounds, the pitch (which funny enough used to be one of the best in the country) and the lack of support through the stiles. Anyway, for those wishing Galway back up, don't forget they were asking their season ticket holders to pay through the stiles at the end of last season.

Far be it from a Dundalk fan to defend Galway but maybe that was because they were likely to be relegated and spotted a good opportunity to boost the coffers before the graveyard. Which you could link to the unscrupulous dealings of other clubs

I’m a season ticket holder with gufc the club asked people to pay in for one night which was voluntary most people paid in because gufc is their club owned and run by the fans.

Sligo also asked their supporters to do the same thing last season when they had a cash flow problem.

No they didn't. It was a suggestion from the supporters trust.

No. The supporters decided to do this themselves and were not asked by the Club to do so.

To be honest, as a Galway fan if Bray were not to get a premier license and get send to the 1st Division I would hope we would refuse the offer of a place in the Premier. With the players lost etc we would only be cannon fodder for the other 9 teams who would be well ahead in their planning for the season.
It could do more harm than good for the club especially in it's new fan owned state.

There is a massive difference between a club like Galway having to fundraise at the end of the year to cover a shortfall and the absolute lunacy that has been going on in Bray.

If Denis O Conor is the applicant one would wonder whether a license would be granted. Applicants have to be fully tax compliant and Denis has made a few appearances in Stubb's gazette. Not sure of full details or whether they would impact tax compliance but potentially there could be issues there. There certainly would be if we had a functioning fit and proper persons test.

Youd be nuts not to take the place in the premier if youavoid bottom place you at least have a playoff to stay in the division,
Play in division 1 next season , lower gates less money and maybe at the end of the season you miss out on a playoff spot.....

That's kinda the point, if the team isn't good enough to get a play off spot in the first division it's hardly not going to come last in the premier.

Getting beaten every week would also lead to lower gates and less money.
