Mammoth suspension list for opening fixture

Players suspended for opening game away to Kilkenny City: Philip Gorman, Brian Kelly, Alan Mulcahy, Derek Pender, Ray Scully, Trevor Vaughan.

What kind of line-up does this leave us with? Something along these lines?

    Kennedy
    Brennan, Deans, Hedderman, Courtney
    McGill, Shiels, Whelehan, A. Kelly
    Holt, Collins

Is Cronin still registered as a player? He or Hedderman could fill in at left back (assuming Keely and Griffin are fit to slot in at centre-half.) McGill is struggling for fitness too, I believe, McCrossan is out for six weeks.

Is it only the first game they suspended for?

I'd say you're fairly spot on there Sheridan. Griff won't be fit in time, but hopefully McGill will be. Hopefully between Holty, Collins and Kelly we'll be able to bag a goal or two, and keep it shut at the back.
They are only suspended for the one game so the tussle for places up front will ensue after that, that should also drive Robbie and Michael to really push for some goals on the opening day to try and stake their claim straight away.
Really looking forward to it actually, if we plan it right it could be one hell of a hoolie!

seems a long time since last season, or maybe it was just the last season was so bad. If we can get off to a good start , it would be great. Pity we're not back at Whitehall.
