    Your Favourite Irish Saying...

    Ok, the rules are simple.
The saying must be written in Irish first with a general English translation.
    Spelling isn't overly important.
If you don't have the Irish, look it up before posting.

    To get the ball rolling...

Glac bog an saol agus glacfaidh an saol bog tú.
Take the world nice and easy, and the world will take you the same.

Ní dhéanfaidh smaoineamh an treabhadh duit.
You'll never plough a field turning it over in your mind.

I always liked, mainly for the way it rolls off the tounge.

Ní hé lá na báistí lá na bpáistí

which doesnt really have a direct translation really, just rainy days arent days for children.
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

Try holding down, "Alt Gr" and then pressing the letter you want the fada over.
