    Oriel Park

Dundalk will play all their home games on an artifical surface as and from the start of the season as the Oriel Park pitch has been dug up and a new surface is being laid.

    Any comments...

Its going to be tough for all teams going there, if it will be an advantage for the home side we'll have to wait and see. when we get the allweather up and running we should be familier with this type of surface.

If the surface that is being laid in the Showgies is the UEFA Official standard, as approved recently, it will be worth a look. The regret may be that it is not the main surface that it is being laid on. The word is that all LOI Clubs will have this surface in the next 5 years, as its maintainence free, all conditions, and will make money for clubs. It would be great to tog out on the same pitch as the top players, it might reverse a few critics views!

There would be no problem getting the backing, as it would be a moneyspinner! Great News also for the Clubhouse/Bar as well !!

    The only way is up
