Heard Craig Hignett might be in by end of the week but don't take it as gospel just a rumour.
That article here: http://www.limerickleader.ie/news/sp...this-week.html
Neil Redfearn, once of Leeds, Lee Clark of Bury among the names mentioned.
I remember Redfearn. He was once relegated from the Premier League three seasons in a row with three different clubs in the late nineties. Not that we should judge him on a managerial basis on that, just one of those eye-raising trivia things that sprang to mind.
Author of Never Felt Better (History, Film Reviews).
Heard Craig Hignett might be in by end of the week but don't take it as gospel just a rumour.
Would be a great appointment on one level.
He would be Boland and Gamble's man which could potentially mean a first teamanager who actually has total control over first team affairs for the first time in I don't know how long.
Of course that's a double edged sword if he turns out to be terrible!
Russell had to go just did not have it tactically to change games when needed id say motivation was a problem aswell going by some of the displays this season , has Boland improved that for me certainly not and does not deserve the job , somebody like lee Clarke would be great ruffle a few feathers too many in the comfort zone , if be happy with consolidating our place in prem comfortable in mid table would do me this season we don't have the squad simple as that
Lee Clark is in a job in England he ain't coming here.
If there's any truth in it Redfearn would be a superb manager.
" I wish to God that someone would be able to block out the voices in my head for five minutes, the voices that scream, over and over again: "Why do they come to me to die?"
Interview process finished today. New manager expected to attend Saturday nights game. Who's it gonna be lads......
Not according to Mick Aherne and he's a big supporter of Willie. He usually spot on with his info.
I've been told in no uncertain terms that Willie has no interest in the job at this time.
Worryingly Mike Aherne this morning said he knows who's coming in and he was uninspired by the appointment.
I know of a candidate who has made the final stages of the "interview process"
A man who has arguments with fans during games.
A man who shouts abuse at his own teams youngsters.
A man who's record in his last job reads:
P 11 W 1 D 4 L 6
I also know that of the other candidates who have made the latter stage of the "interview process" two told us **** off one is back in Ghana and another one is the corpse of Mick Cooke freshly liberated from Glasnevin cemetery.
We all excited??![]()
Would that be the same manager who Mike Aherne has just put a pic of up on his twitter page with a cryptic text?
I you referring to Kevin Nugent?
Had a look through Kevin Nugents record and it is extremely underwhelming. A lot of very very short tenures at numerous clubs in numerous different roles.
That's the word on the street.
Personally I don't buy it.
Because it's so obviously shockingly bad that I'm thinking it must be a cover for something else.
Avoid Kenny hire Taylor.
Avoid Baraclough hire a spoofer.
I'm seeing a trend.
This can't be true. Nugent has nothing to offer. I reckon this is a late April fools joke.
