    Progress on new stadium

Just wondering when the club hopes to play at the new stadium.

The new stadium page on the website has nothing on it since last year.
    I'm what? I'm ants at a picnic?

Work stopped on it some time before Christmas due to the weather. The main pitch has been completed and the grass is growing on it. It is hoped to start work again on the second pitch in the coming weeks, once the weather improves. The site has been completly fenced off, with tenders for the main stand being evaluated at the minute as far as I know. They are certainly out, if not returned yet. We intend to be in it for the start of the 2006 season.

Where are athlone playing their home games this season. Is Golden Island Park just St. Mels Park under a sponsors name?
