Murphy made 3 subsitutions in the last 5 minutes, Carey for Buckley, O'Flynn for Morley and yes Hartigan for O'Brien

He had a half chance that went over aswell.

Some people booed when he came on. Shame on them for booing a City player like that, the match hadnt even restarted... and they call themselves fans.

I think when people jeer Noel Hartigan they are not necesarily having a personal go at Noel. In fact they are having a go at Liam Murphy for the decision to put Noel out there in the first place. And I agree with that.

Well they should mention Murphy by name then, not direct it at him via Hartigan.

At the Bohs match CPOB started a run and made a bags of it & the guy next to me shouted "Ya w@nker Harti... " and stopped and said to his friend next to him, "Woops, I thought that was Hartigan. Come on Colin!(in a supportive way)". This happens at every match & pi$$es me off because they pick at Noel because he is an easy target. He has scored more goals this season then CPOB,Skippy, Mulligan, infact everybody except Ollie. He is not our best player & not our best striker, but he should not be personally vilified for his shortcommings. It is not his fault that he is picked, so when he is, we (the "supporters") should get behind the team and encourage (dare I say support) the team and players during the match. If some people have problems, then they should rase them after the match when the players have showed everything they have to give, not 3 seconds after being brought on for the last 5 minutes of a match that is clearly finished as a contest.

You may remember during the Derry game, when Mulligan was substituted instead of Hartigan, the chants after that were most certainly directed at Murphy ("Murphy Out").

There's only so much a supporter can take of Noel's attitude. And while I agree that it's not his fault he's picked in the team, it IS his fault that he doesn't put in more of an effort.

I just hope Murphy finally realises what all City fans knew years ago, that Hartigan is not up to it.

This could go on forever !!

I reckon Hatigan brings the abuse on himself, he does not look energetic in the slightest, he never seems to be active, if he doesn't like the abuse he should really try to address the situation, or even appear to be addressing it. But as it was said this season he is our second top scorer so for that reason i would lay off him.

Morley was top scorer in the league two or three years ago and during the following summer, he was the player from hell, it might be something to do with City fans not liking the players who score alot.

Just as long as the go in i am happy
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

The Morley and Hartigan situations are slightly different I think. People took a personal dislike to Morley because of him leaving City for Shels, they still know he's a great player. On the other hand, people get on Hartigan's back for the simple reason that he doesn't give a sh!t. He doesn't even try to look like he gives a sh!t. I feel sorry for Hartigan because there is no way he should be out there in the City jersey. He's not good enough. But who will refuse the chance if picked in the team. I feel a "Murphy OUT" coming on!

    MURPHY OUT!

when he left last year under mountfield and went back to the msl,
my buddie played against him and said he was the the laziest player he ever played against,

    eg
my buddy is 5'9 and hartigol is wat 6'3-4
and nartigol didnt win a ball in the air
and i was there to witness it

lets look at his good points and bad points

    good:
    1/
he is tall and a target man (oh wait thats stands for a bad 1 as he dosent win nething in the air)
    2/
he scores against the weaker teams

    bad:
    1/
    he cant run
    2/
    he cant jump
    3/
    he shows no commitment
    4/
    he is lazy
    5/
specially made jerseys to fit him
    6/
has to live up to the tag of hartigol (batigol)alot of pressure

and i know theres plenty more
Cork City F.C. the envy of the EL

    Eanna Is At It Again...

Most people at the game know that the loudest boo'er was Eanna. I wasn't alone telling him to shut up. All the City fans there made as much noise as 30 +/- people can make and we looked like a good bunch of supporters. The booing was very unwelcome.

You can never accuse Noel Hartigan of being lazy! He has a lazy run which makes him look slow. He probably has to work harder at his game than some of the other strikers and I'm sure that Liam Murphy had him in the side because he works so hard. It's always handy to have a big man up front if you need to play the long ball game. Personally I'm not a fan of that style of play but I'm not the manager.

    Peadar is at it again.

Peadar, why don't you give Liam and the rest of your buddies in the club a ring RIGHT NOW and cry on their shoulders about what a big bad meanie I am.
I CAN accuse hartigan of being lazy, and I will accuse him of it, because the guy is a pathetic striker. I've said before that he should be played at centre-back or not at all, and that the booing was specifically aimed at letting murphy know what we thought of his substitution. Hence my shout of "what the hell are you doing murphy?" when hartigan appeared.
Also, I didn't see many people showing their delight at Noel's introduction, at least I had the balls to vent my feelings instead of saying nothing, despite the fact that it might have upset you and your cronies.
I make no apologies for doing what I did. Hartigan, just like the gimp that picks him, is a disgrace to the jersey, and the sooner they both go the better.

Peadar. it must be great in your little cuckoo land where reality just doesn't happen. I'd imagine if we were to scroll through your posts, its all having a go at another poster. Your defense of the team, while admirable, is just getting annoying. Do you actually believe what you type or are you doing it to wind people up?
At Bray the other day a few people did boo NH and Murphy. So bloody what? If we want to boo them, then thats our thing.

Besides, it doesnt really matter that Hartigan came on. There wasnt enough time for him to be lazy. Flynn did get a run which is definitely a good thing. Morley showed he is still among the best we have and we won, so all in all it was an Okay day! yes?

You're the one in "cuckoo land", yourself and Eanna. You both have a tabloid view of football. Everything is a controversy and everyone has ulterior motives. I have contact details for some reporters if you'd like to tell all your inside information.
O'Flynn got a run at the start of the season and didn't do very much to get excited about. I'll admit that while the team were poor he may have been unlucky and I hope he becomes a great striker for the club. The fact of the matter is though that Noel Hartigan was very much a part of our recovery and got important goals. he worked hard on the field and never faked an injury to get out of a game or training. His attitude is right and in an attempt to strike up a partnership between himself and Colin P, Liam Murphy played them together. It takes time for strikers to get a good understanding of each other and that will only happen by playing together. Everyone compares Noel to Morley to O’Flynn, which is like comparing Niall Quinn to Robbie Keane.

Do you actually believe what you type or are you doing it to wind people up?

I love having a go at Eanna and Neil because we disagree on most things but they both know that a rise on the forum is where it ends. I even left Eanna sit in my company for a drink after the Bray game last week
