Sad sad news. Too young. A terrible loss for his family, team mates, Derry City and the league itself. RIP

Devasting. Can't really put it into words.

I'll quote Ryan:

Completely gutted. An embodiment of everything we love about local football, and a true gent to boot. Can't even begin to process this.

Football comes a very distant second to this absolutely tragic news. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Shocking.

Very saddened to hear this. RIP.

This is so hard. I lifted his neighbour (I'm a taxi driver) and heard one side of a conversation? I eventually asked who it was and heard the name and was absolutely shocked. I dropped them off at his house with two ambulances and realised the nightmare from hell just happened. **** me (delete if you's need to admins) but to see so many people crying and what was happening is a nightmare. We went mental in Buncrana last Monday and then Ryan had a flawless performance yesterday with a clean sheet. R.I.P. Ryan. #DCFC5
