seen in the Longford Town notes that three of our lads that played earlier this season are no longer with us-Cody Mulhall,Gavin Boyne and Mark Langtry where are they now does anyone know? its partly my own fault as I havent being at a home game since the Sligo Rovers match and am so much out of the loop these days!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Mulhall had a great head alright but wasn't fit enough alright. No idea why Boyne was in the team.
So Marty what's the story with fenn for next season?
I heard from a committee member at the game in RSC that deal has being agreed with Fenn to stay for next season.Going by my gut instinct and various mumurings at the game I have a feeling that Sully and Don Cowan wont be here with us next season.
It was my first time seeing Aodh Dervan play there. Hes going to be a star if he keeps a level head on his shoulders. He bossed the midfield and was superb in his timing of tackles. He covered a lot of ground. He was easily man of the match. Going by various tweets from other people at the game who were impressed with him that theres talk of cross channel interest.
My only worry is that hes small and slight but he has such a battler to make up his lack of inches.

Sully will be 30 in October, if he wants to potentially play in the Premier Division again then he probably won't get many more chances. It'd be gutting to see him go though.

Chatting to Marty earlier on there I think he might have over read some of the stuff he heard, doubt Sully will be going anywhere. As you said Hel be 30, has had a quiet season so interest in him unlikely to be high and as we've seen in the last PT training in Dublin really suits him so we are the perfect fit still for him.
I'd be surprised if he went now if Fenn is still in charge as I reckon they suit each other. He's not allowed leave before he reaches 100 goals anyway.

Danny O Reilly has got into the PFAI 1st Division team of the year. Massive congrats to him. My player of the year!

Great achievement and well deserved. By far our most consistent performer this year. Bizarrely didn't win a player of the month award, but hopefully will get player of the season if it's being awarded this season.
was chatting to a committee member at u15 game last week and it looks like club will have function on same night as wexford game and more than likely longford arms hotel. player of the year award on that night also as well!as soon as I hear anything I will post here.

Thats confirmed by the way. Usual awards plus under 19 and under 17 as well. All are welcome to Longford arms after game. Great to have awards and social night back as badly missed.
Also heard from supporters club that noel haverty is retiring after game due to work. He will be badly missed and was a huge factor in our improved form in second half of season. He was a great servant in his five and a half seasons with us.

He picked up a lot of injuries in recent years. Probably right to call it a day, he's been playing a good while.

Yeah I actually meant in LOI in general but he has been a good player for us over his years here.
