Jesus. Watching the highlights and the jersey makes me feel nostalgic.
And we were pretty crap then. But we were far better than we are now

90 years ago, Paddy Moore scored four goals against Belgium, there's British Pathe footage from the game on YouTube
All goals, yellow and red cards tweeted in real time on mastodon, BlueSky and facebook

    Looks like Dalymount to me.

Edit: Yeah, Dalyer - https://eu-football.info/_match.php?id=5796 They'd lose their other qualification game to the Dutch a month-and-a-half later. If they'd beaten Belgium they'd probably have gone to the World Cup. Belgium went, and were knocked out by Germany in the First Round. The story of an IFS team at Mussolini's World Cup would have been fascinating.

A bit nuts that Phil Babb made his debut less than three months before the Italy match at Giants Stadium.

20 years since Liam Miller and Paddy Kenny made their debuts in a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic
Kenny is the 400th player to be capped by the national side

Is Ian Harte the best free-kick specialist that we have ever had ? ! Putting it out there for debate.

Denis Irwin had a good free-kick in him as well.

Both of them were good ~ Interesting that when Beckham came along that Irwin wasn't as good for Ireland ~ I suppose he wasn't getting the practice any more.
