Hale to make Waterford appearance
Legendary former Waterford United player and manager Alfie Hale will return to the club’s colours as one of a host of celebrity stars for Friday night’s glamour charity friendly against the Waterford hurlers at the RSC.
Hale, a central figure in the Waterford United side that won six League of Ireland titles between 1966 and 1973, also made a major impact in his spell in management, leading the club to the League Cup title in 1985 and the FAI Cup final a year later.
