Rumours from the 1st Div that Dublin City & Dundalk might be struggling?

Also, 2 of the reasons Bohs failed first time around was because their manager doesn't have a level 3 - or even a level 2 - coaching badge, and that there were problems over a tax clearance cert?

    All unconfirmed rumours - allegedly.

Dunno. What will happen to any clubs who fail to get Prem licenses today remains to be seen and will have to be decided pretty very soon.

Not sure when UEFA will determine on Irish clubs UEFA applics, according to Fintans link Shels will be getting ready for it "soon", but I doubt it will affect the domestic situation as the sanctions to be applied to clubs who fail to get the Premier license will have to be sorted out separately.

GUFC have a First Division licence ...

no news on other appeal applications from the First Division.

It is believed that Sligo Rovers insistence on completing the appeal forms in red biro, against the advice of Bob Breen, could have serious implications for their First Division future.

    Hi all,

Here is official press release just sent out regarding UEFA Licensing

St Patrick’s Athletic are pleased to announce that they have received a League Licence - Premier Division for the forthcoming season following a successful appeal of the FAI Club Licensing First Instance Committee's decision.

Club Licensing Officer, Stephen Connelly, explained: "The process of achieving a licence is not as straight forward as many people believe. A lot of hard work has been going on behind the scenes to ensure that the licensing criteria were met. The achievement of our licence is testament to the professional, positive and forward thinking approach adopted by the board, management and staff alike to the running of the club. After the successful negotiation of our main sponsorship deal with Smart Telecom, this is another outward sign of our progress.

"I would also like to thank Bob Breen, Carol Dunne and Enda Corcoran in the FAI Club Licensing Section for all their assistance and advice with our licence application."

Why are we having to find this out through various club websites? Can the FAI not make an announcement as to who has passed and who hasn't? Seeing as the clubs were informed last night, there's no reason the FAI can't announce the outcomes. But there's nothing on the website, nothing on Aertel, nothing anywhere. Why?

Because they only like to announce bad news about the eircom League officially

Positive PR? Wouldn't know it if it poked them in the eye
