Yeah, okay, the post can come a bit later down the way, but the current situation is a nonsense. Sure Harps are the first ones here to post notification at 9:00am - think Ballybofey is about the most "in the sticks" that you'll get in the eL!

No. And apparently we don't. There's apparently no power of relegation/promotion. A three-point penalty would be fair - not as drastic as relegation (which would probably so more harm than good as budgets have already been drawn up and contracts agreed on their basis), but would show that the eL and the FAI are at least taking the issue seriously.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

And for those who dont get a licence at all the Leinster Senior league beckons fact not fantasy.

    I respect Trevors Opinion

but you will find out he is wrong on this. How would a 3 point deduction matter if only one team goes down some slap on the wrist that would be.Action has to taken before next weeks AGM or the league will be kicking off next year.

If you finish two points off Europe, it'll matter!

Three points penalty and a fine seems to be a common penalty - ask Kaiserslautern.

Whether or not teams can (read: will) get promoted/relegated on the basis of the UEFA Licence.

    taken from dundalk.com

Dundalk Football Club expect to receive their UEFA License early next week after discussions this morning between CEO Sean Connolly and Bob Breen of the FAI. "We are practically there and only have to comply with a number of small legal issues in order to obtain the license. These issues should not take long to resolve and may even be completed by the end of the day".

    Issues to be resolved
The awarding of the UEFA License has been delayed until the following two areas are addressed:

    1. The receipt of an Auditor's Certificate to Practice.
    2. Confirmation by the club's auditors of an existing standing order.

Speaking to dundalkfc.com, the CEO added that "it is unfortunate that this has held up the awarding of the license but we are happy with our progress. It has been a long and arduous process and I expect that these minor problems will be ironed out quickly and that another piece of the jigsaw for our plans at Dundalk FC will be set in place."

what i cant seem to work out the deadline has passed so the clubs get another appeal/ deadline ????
    is that fair ???

    Finn Harps
    Shelbourne
    Drogheda United
    Bray wanderers
    Derry City
    Cork City
    St.Pat's
    Waterford United

    Athlone Town
    Galway United
    Monaghan United

The only clubs that have admitted that they did not get the licence today (so far) have been Longford and Dundalk from what I can gather, though there seems to be concern about Kildare, DCFC and surprisingly...Bohs.

That eleven-a-side article says waterford have failed, though AFAIK they've confirmed they've received theirs.
Cork City: Making 'Dream Team' seem realistic since 2007.

    I think

dublin city haven't got a license as well?

ONE thing that is for sure is that the league has found itself back in the same place it was last year, in a total f*cking mess !!! I think we should nominate the chimps in dublin zoo to run the league next year!! surely they could do a better job

    And UCD.

Newstalk report that Home Farm and three other clubs have apparently failed.

fault Brian it is the clubs fault full stop. This is the 2nd year in a row some clubs have chosen to ignore the criteria and as ive said before the licence is the only way forward if clubs wont adapt they have to be sanctioned.

ya, but it is up to the league to punish the teams that continue to ignore the criterias instead of letting them appeal there failed appeals!!!!
