Whatever about that ****ty rugby match are we talking to Browne?
As we all know the charity cup this year had to be cancelled in tragic circumstances.
Fear not though, Young Munster will now be playing something called a Presidents XV in the Markets Field in the middle of December.
I'm unaware as to why this game couldn't be played in Clifford Park, or Coonagh, or Dooradoyle, or St Mary's, or Richmond, or Old Crescent, or Fitzgerald Park, or UL Bohs, or Presentation, or Thomond Park.
On the plus side, good excuse for when the senior team are absolute dog****.
Any news on the Kenny Browne signing??

They had to make up a game out of thin air just to get the rugby in there. I really hope they have some sort of plan for the pitch people can say what they want about it being municipal but it would be typical Limerick to ruin a fantastic playing surface to get a game on in their for a sport that has many fantastic grounds already in the city.
Total joke. Desperately trying to do something so they can claim it is a 'municipal stadium'. What next Showjumping? Rugby is not a sport that you can share a stadium with. Limerick FC have put in a huge amount of work on the pitch since season end. That will all be wiped out because of a totally made up rygby game.
When is limerick FC's next home match?
From what I have been told , huge money was spent installing a modern multi-use turf surface when the stadium was rebuilt.
tallaght stadium has an awful lot more events using the playing surface and from watching on the box, it seems fine to me.
one rugby game is not going to destroy the surface.
In both cases, are not the football teams tenants?
sick of narcissists.....
No problem with rugby there per se. If they want to play a schools cup final or an AIL final if two Limerick clubs are in it, by all means work away, what a great day for the city.
It's just the desperate shoehorning in of a makey uppy game in the middle of winter just to get rugby played there looks a bit, well, desperate.
It's grand saying we are tenants and we haven't a game for a few months and the ledp spent x amount on the pitch on day one.
But... They do nothing for the day to day upkeep of the pitch. It's Limerick FC looking after it. It will be interesting to see if this changes going forward.
If you're landlord decided to have his sons 21st in the house you were renting off him instead of a pub, would you expect to have to clean up after it?
It's a fairly pathetic attempt alright considering Garryowen playing there was supposed to be a big part of the rugby back in the Markets Field. I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as the LEDP sort the pitch out after the game to allow it be ready for pre-season.
From talking to one of the lads who went to the game he said pitch is in an awful state. He also said there was nobody out sorting the pitch at half time or full time which if true is a disgrace would show no regard at all for the quality of the surface if the owners were to allow it be wrecked and just expect Limerick to fix it. Crowd also apparently nothing to write home about.
What's the point in playing that match last night ridiculous with the flooding around the city yesterday I can only imagine what state the pitch is on from scrums.
