    Thumbs down Everyone leaving?

You'd swear we hadn't finished one of better seasons in a while...

Member of coaching staff leaves every few weeks...u-21 players leaving (maybe they overage & not getting 1st team squad place...?

Can anyone name the coaches actually left?

Well, carey went to Cobh from Waterford, not City.

As for the coaching staff, well, all bar Mahedy left due to good oppurtunities to further their careers in football. Some might argue that it was a step back for all 3, but i would dispute that.

Both Cobh and Limerick seem to making genuine strides to assure promotion this season.

Ive no doubt that suitable replacements will be in place beofre long.

thats why. They all went to improve themselves, and Dolan has already made it perfectly clear that he intends to bring new coaching staff in, but he won't rush it.

Dolan had some comments on the coaching situation in the Sun from February 5th:

"The priority at the moment is players but we do have candidates for the coaching positions. There are plenty of people interested and we'll look at them after the deadline. I'm not going to appoint someone just because there is a gap now. We need a strong person but also someone the players will enjoy working with."

Speaking of the guys who have left:
"It's not necessarily been a bad career move for people, has it? I've always looked to work with good people and thats what I'll be doing again."
"There is a list of candidates and when we get the players in, we'll sit down and talk and get an agreement with the club."

    Talking about signing players:
"We have a good squad and, like the coaching positions, I'm not going to bring in players just because they're available- they must improve the club. I've spoken to players and it has been frustrating because we can't match the money on offer from clubs in Dublin but we've got a lot of priorities here and getting players is just one of them."

    Talking about pre-season training:
"I've never seen a group of players return to training so fit. Everyone came back to training fit and ready for the new season. Before they went away for the winter, we had everyone at Limerick for a fitness test and Dave mahedy gave everyone fitness programmes. They've all stuck to them and i think it will benefit us because the tempo of our training is already so high."

    Goals for the season:
"We want to make progress, not just as a team, but as a club." I think we've made great progress in the last two years and if you ask anyone in Cork to years ago where they wanted to be,they would have snapped your arm off, if they were offered second in the league. We're still a young side and we'll continue to progress."

Did Carey sign for Waterford ? I thought he was only on loan and in that case would have signed for Cobh having been a City player.
