Amazing what a scuffed shot in the 120th minute of a cup final can do for your popularity at a club

You do realise that this is a fans forum and the people who comment are not players or managers of opposing clubs?
So it makes no odds if Caulfields comments wind up a bunch of fans. There is no evidence whatsoever that his comments have ever gotten to rival managers or players, the reverse is probably true though...
Waterford In
David McDaid (Cliftonville)
FORAS: "John, you've made yourself look a dope in the media again, how are we to deal with this?"
A very long pause...
JC: "Could we pretend I was playing mind games incredibly badly?"
The assembled audience look on in awe. He's done it again. High fives all round and the world continues to turn.
Mind games! I suppose our quietly spoken chairman was playing mind games too when he going on about signing Greek players or bringing in CSKA's bit players on trial...
The ball is round and has many surprises.
