Tottenham are a little light at the back at the moment, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him move there.
Surprised to see no real talk about his situation here. About 2 weeks ago he had a training ground bust up with Houllier and other coaches, was stripped of his captaincy and was told he had no future at villa.

And sure enough he didn't even make the squad today, along with Ireland.
Rumours linking him with Tottenham and Everton at the moment, definitely appears probable he's on the move. There's also whispers about him having personal problems leading to the tension on the training ground as well as him putting on weight recently.
Don't think Dunne will end up at Spurs. Redknap was asked if he was interested in Samba on Xmas day and he said he had enough centre halves, with Dawson now fit, Gallas and King not far off playing again, and Woodgate who will probably be sent out on loan. I’d love to see him go there btw.
Always look on the bright side of life
Also they have Kaboul, Bassong and Corluka who can play there too so it's unlikely
I'd say it's more likely he'll just bite his lip and wait for Houllier to be sacked.
I would love to see him reunited with Hughes at Fulham. He could even take Ireland with him.
Wolves.
I didn't realise things had become terminal for the big man at Villa. A fresh start mightn't be the worst thing. His form has dipped and he looks cumbersome (possible fitness issues?)
Good shout. On a bad day he's still better than what masquerades for a defense around those parts.
Really doubt Wolves would be afford to pay his wages. Was on big money at City and probably a similar figure at Villa.
Villa should loan him to Wolves then. I've never understood why clubs are so willing to pay a player to sit on the bench and collect their wages.
Well, in this case Dunne is still a very good option to have, even if he's out of form. If they're paying him they may as well have him available on the bench rather than at Wolves (which could potentially be a rival if Aston Villa continue to flirt with relegation).
Aston Villa will be looking to sell him, not loan him out. The problem will be wages for many of the teams that would actually be interested in him.
And Spurs have just signed a South African lad Khumalo

Which would make it 8 possible centre backs!!!!!

It's a bit sickening when our best three players cannot get starts with their clubs. Keane, Given and now Dunne. I just hope Dunne gets a move. Everton have been looking at centre halves. That wouldn't be a bad move for him.
Both Dunne and Ireland fail to make match day squad yet again against their former club
According to the city twitter feed, the city fans were singing for dunne and ireland coming up to half time.
Bet they're both at home laughing away at the moment.
The way Villa are going at the moment it's not unrealistic to suppose Houllier will be gone before Dunney.
Ou-est le Centre George Pompidou?
The rumour mill has this to say:
Despite losing 4-0 to Manchester City without Richard Dunne in their defence yesterday, Gérard Houllier reckons Aston Villa can do without their best defender. Dunne will be allowed to join Celtic on loan immediately. Stephen Ireland might also be heading for Celtic. He has a grandmother up there or something.
wouldnt be suprised if he ended up at blackburn. if not there everton although they are completely skint and badly need a forward
