The Irish Times just printed almost word for word the same article as the English "Rag" Guardian (http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...253336043.html).

Delighted with this move for Dunne if it goes through, this way he'll be part of a top team with a great manager (not a Villa fan btw) and far away from City when it all blows up and the various overinflated egos there start bickering!

My point was the indo probably wouldnt print it if it was utter speculation without any reliable sources. Anyway, moot point, great news

The Sindo is a total RAG. You are much more likely to find valid news in the Guardian. I am amazed that anybody continues to support INM by buying the rag Sindo or the rag Herald.

Good move for Dunne, Well Dunne of Hughes. Will now watch Villa with interest.

I wouldn't normally advocate a move of one of our players merely because some competition is brought in but I think he's better off moving on to a club like Villa..

City can go either way at this point, but I don't see them doing a Chelsea. Villa are a high profile club offering stability.
I pity the fool!.... But suggest ways that he might improve himself.

Yes Yes yes....Im hope that deal goes through, I'm a villa fan and this exactly what we need. Its insane for City to get rid of Dunne, what a foolish mistake. Its because he is not a wholesale name and as marketable as the other players. To get rid of your captain and best player for 4 of the last 5 years is so wrong, they have lost a real leader, he is onyl 29 aswell, at least 3 more years left in him, and I believe his stock will rise over the next year particularly if we make it to SA. And now he has European footbal with Villa, it is actually a great move for him, Villa are a team full of proven premier league players with good balance and a proven manager. It will probably p!ss Dunne off but I think this will be a great move for him, hope it happens soon.

O'Neill also has a track record in getting the best out of his centre-backs.

    Mjallby, Laursen...

What was the name of the guy he had at Leicester who went to Celtic for a season? Shaven headed, mad eyes. Name escapes me.

Curtis Davies is improving by all accounts too.

Matt Elliott, always one of the first names in the fantasy football team in those days.

Dissapointing.. They could very well be knocked out of Europe tonight.

Man City are a team on the rise, will probably finish in the top 4 this season.

Busy times at Pompey at the moment.
Dunne, Tommy Smith, Michael Brown and some fella Williamson all linked today.

Still I hope Dunne signs for Villa.

well said Scram. Hughes is DEFFO going to regret this decision. And i reckon Dunne will flourish under O'Neill.

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Man City should bring back Kevin Keegan.
He would love it there, love it.

Looks like a Dunne deal. (Sorry....) Undergoing a medical this afternoon if personal terms can be agreed.

Overwhelmingly favourable comments and wishes from the City fans on that site.

I dunno. I doubt Robinho, Adebayour, Bellamy and Tevez all make for a stable dressing room.. I see city imploding.

I believe it is going to be SI. Good move for Dunne, dont like the way he has been treated by City in recent months, especially considering he is club captain.

    Alone all alone for Shay!

The greening of City didn't last too long, I'm sure Shay will miss the Honey Monster ( aka The Wardrobe) in front of him.
