Dunne is back in the Actim index at no. 82 ahead of Man U regular John O'Shea,(84) I expect he will continue to climb, provided he keeps the own goals in single figures.![]()

slightly off topic, but have City tried Kompany at CB alongsde Dunne? When he broke through at Anderlecht as a youngster Im sure he played at CB and looked very impressive. City fans I know have certainly been disappointed with Richards this season, Im not sure about Onhuah (sp?)......
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?
"No, I drink to help me mind my own business....can I get you one? (c) Ronnie Drew
Yeah, they played together in the centre of defence for a handful of games around January, when Richards and Onuoha were both unavailable. Kompany was signed primarily as a defensive central midfielder, and that's where he's played for the vast majority of his time so far at Eastlands.
Onuoha's done far better since he's come back than Richards has been all season. Think the whole "next Ferdinand/Cannavaro/Maldini" tag that was assigned to him when he broke into the side at 18 got to his head a bit
De Jong has played at centre half a handful of times this season. Did he make Dunne look better, or was it that he didn't have to cover for Richards? The vast majority of De Jong's games have been in central midfield. If anything, he's a replacement for Fernandes. If De Jong is the long term permanent centre half, why did Hughes exclude him from the European squad?
Everyone fit and available City's starting XI looks like
Ireland and Zabaleta have nothing to do with it, Johnson has been injured for the majority of the season. He's only come back for the reserves in the last week.Code:Given Zabaleta Dunne Richards/Onuoha Bridge De Jong Kompany Wright-Phillips Ireland Robinho Bellamy
Wolves in for Dunne. According to the yesterday's Sun. So it must be true.![]()
It had to happen.
I'd guess that Dunnes is already on a good contract with City.
Dunne on all the recent transfer speculation
from http://www.mcfc.co.uk/default.sps?pa...newsid=6631414
City's captain is said to be a target for at least one Premier League club this summer, but he added: "I definitely want to stay here and be part of the club as it pushes forward. I'm sure every player here feels the same."
According to McDevitt last night The Citeh Chairman wants rid of Dunne as he is "not the kind of player who will sell shirts" and supposedly the Citeh fans have lost faith in him and he is available for 5m..... would make a great signing for someone coming up. Ideal world form an Irish point of view would be City pursue their interest in Lescott and offer Dunne + £££ for him. Everton would be the best possible place for Dunnie Monster now. Quite a fall from grace at Citeh![]()
hope he dosent end up at a promoted club - prob be fighting to stay up. hes way to good for that.
someone like fulham, everton, west ham..clubs like these.
To be honest, THe only club in England that does not need Dune is Man Utd. Liverpool Chelsea and Arsenal could all do with him. So could Everton, Villa and Spurs. Total madness that he is going for 5mand Johnson is going for 18m. One is a world class defender and the others is a flakey attacking full back.

Dunne's had a terrible season, he's almost 30 and he's already pretty slow. He is at his level, mid-table premiership his best hope is to stay at that level somewhere like Blackburn would be a good move.
Villa appear to be a bit light on cash, which is a shame because that would be a good move. I can't see him going back to Everton, Yobo, Lescott & Jagielka already there, Spurs have King, Woodgate & Dawson plus he turned down Charlton in favour of City because he wanted to stay up north.
So Dunne is not the sort of person to sell shirts yet Lescott would be. Between this and Glen Johnson going for €17 million, id really have to worry about the way these clubs actuallly view players
I've mentioned this numerous times before but is's simply because one is an England international and the other isn't.
Having an England cap triples your transfer value - see Bentley, Pennant, Downing, Bent, Defoe, Glen and Andy Johnson, Paul Robinson and a whole heap of others too numerous to mention for examples.

When you are player of the season for 4 season in a row you are due the one off season. Think its a shame the way City are treating him. He would probably be best off out of there.Dunne's had a terrible season
Villa to replace Laursen??
At 5 million it would be a snip for anyone... Worth at least 8-10 mill in my mind and wouldn't look out of place in the top four... Crazy thinking by City

On his way to Sunderland. Would be a great signing for both parties. We need an experience CB and a leader on the pitch. Dunne has all hallmarks of Bruce as a player. Plus Dunne would be a first team regular and signing for a team on the up with one of the best Stadiums and training grounds in England. A manager and chairman who have ambition to break into Europe in the future.(Que the anti-SAFC pro-Keano brigade)
I said it on here before, Dunne isn't 'sexy' enough for Man City's new owners. He won't sell shirts to the Asian market but he'll get you valuable points. ie.Bulagria 2 weeks ago.
As the quote goes from the film Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels.... Its a deal, its a steal, its sale of the f****** century
Seriously at 5 million Dunne would be a fantastic buy for any club.Ive never seen Lescott put in a performance of the level that Dunne consistanly does for us
Its really not that complicated!!!
