wats that? and its true dunne is a terrible defender, hes lucky trap plays so defensive or he would be found out time and time again
Not sure what 'Richard Dunne' you were watching (maybe you were staring at a box of Sugar Puffs) but he was largely brilliant last year. As his fellow professionals agreed. For someone so 'clumsy' he's done well to have such a long, highly respectable career at the highest level..

ask any villa fan they want him out of the team and hes just gonna keep getting worse. i can see sven picking him up during the summer
I think your signature sums up just how skewed your judgement is.
I'm a Villa fan. So I know the following:
1) Richard Dunne was brilliant last season and hasn't been great this year, his form compounded by the general mess that has been Villa's back four, not to mention some disastrous mismanagement from Houllier. Excepting last night, however, his form has improved quite a bit. He's been much better than Collins and would benefit from having Cuellar beside him.
2) The majority of Villa fans are clueless muppets.

SSN are reporting that Richard Dunne is out injured for about a month with a shoulder injury picked up during the week against Man City. Bad news indeed. Who will replace him for Ireland.

FCUK!! probably our most indispensable player at the moment. Hopefully the time out will not be as long as anticipated.
Yup, after Given and Keane our last real leader on the pitch. Pretty much guarantees Kilbane will start for that alone.
Hmm maybe not so bad. 3 weeks is just about doable. Trap will probably call him up and leave it down to the wire.
Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne will be out of action for up to a month with a shoulder problem, the club have confirmed.
Dunne suffered the setback during Villa's 3-0 defeat against Manchester City in the FA Cup on Wednesday.
Villa boss Gerard Houllier confirmed: "Unfortunately, we're going to lose Richard Dune for three to four weeks with a shoulder problem.
"The good thing is, we haven't got many games during that period."
year before last he'd still have been with City. Interesting stat I heard - new years day 2009 (his last NYD at City) City had conceded just 10 goals away while Villa had conceded 27. New years day 2010 Villa had conceded 10 goals and City had shipped 27. The one constant in all this -Mr. Richard Dunne.
" I wish to God that someone would be able to block out the voices in my head for five minutes, the voices that scream, over and over again: "Why do they come to me to die?"
If Dunne is out I'd go for:
Foley-JOS-SSL-Kilbane
Kilbane for the experience & leadership, as noted above.
I think Trap rates Kelly over Foley though. Foley just shades it over Coleman for me because he's a defender first & foremost.
I thought you said he played well the other night?
The last few back fours look awful dodgy to say the least. But we cant do anything about it. Its almost 4 weeks away, Im confident dunney will be fit if houllier lets him go.
I get excited when i think about the players we have, then when one player like this is out, i think we are in dire straits.
The only plus is that its the home game they are out for and not the away game.

I'm a bloke,I'm an ocker
And I really love your knockers,I'm a labourer by day,
I **** up all me pay,Watching footy on TV,
Just feed me more VB,Just pour my beer,And get my smokes, And go away
I still wouldn't give up hope of Dunne making the game.

He did play well the other night - post you've quoted is from over a month ago.
Bit of a disaster - three of our 'big four' possibly gone. Definitely hope Duff is wrapped in cotton wool now. As has been mentioned, there's still a good chance he'll play. Dunney Monster has regularly played through the pain barrier and if he's anywhere near fit he'll be itching for the game and Trap will probably start him.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that isn't right.

If you remove the two league cup games then it's 10 goals conceded away from home
It's a loss (experience wise) but only if we bring in Kilbane. The squad is big enough now to cope. The back four should be
Foley St Ledger O'Shea Clark
