maybe, but I read the quote on football365 here: http://www.football365.com/story/0,1...494337,00.html
Shay GivenIt is one of football's enduring absurdities that goal-savers are so underpriced compared to goal-scorers. Mark Hughes may have spent a combined total of nearly £100m on Robinho, Emmanuel Adebayor and Carlos Tevez but the purchase of Given in January, for a ridiculously low initial fee of £5.9m, may prove the best of his reign. It is a racing certainty that the goalkeeper's acquisition will be the most profitable.
Tempting though it might be, don't be suckered into focusing on the debuts of City's expensive recruits of Ewood because it was the contribution of Given that divided the two sides. "We had six shots on target in the first half to City's one, and the goalkeeper saved them all," observed Sam Allardyce. The Blackburn manager couldn't say it but we can: Had Given and Paul Robinson swapped sides then the scoreline would have most probably have followed suit.
