Gorgeous Georgie's Career path can change in a different direction at any time. As a Scholarship player he is with UCD AFC 'til the end of 2018 Season (Football). There is a three month Internship to be endured as part of his Commerce Degree course after his Finals to be sat in 2018 (Education). If the Student isn't jaded with formal education he can sign up for a Master Degree course immediately on completion of the Degree course (Education).
If he transfers to Dundalk FC from UCD AFC (Football) before the end of the 2018 season, UCD can expect Compensation. What value is the slow down of UCD's scoring and likely loss of points gained at the back end of the season?
" I'll go right up to here,
it can't possibly hurt.
All they will find is my

I think HarpoJoyce has it fairly well covered there.
Georgie is a friend of a friend though, who has said he's planning to stick out the rest of this year with UCD at least. Maybe he has plans for a masters degree, or maybe it's the internship that HarpoJoyce has referred to, but what I was told was "It's just speculation. He's got a scholarship with UCD and has no interest in leaving there yet. The scholarship is handy for him and he wants to make full use of it before going to full time football"

He'd be nuts to not maximise his education all the way to masters if he could, the chances of making it in the UK is minimal (for anyone).
Being a LOI player for Dundalk or anyone unless you get picked up by the UK means a decent living and then when you hit 30ish.........thank God for the education. Besides he could be in the Premier league with UCD next year anyway...
Commerce Masters would only be one year full time. If he done that course next year, he'd still be finishing that season 22 years of age, turning 23 during the off-season the following year. He'd already potentially be playing Premier Division football with UCD.
So, leave it at a degree, sign for Dundalk, no guarantee of first team football..
Or finish the degree, push for promotion with UCD, remain the focal point of their attack, potential promotion and one year Masters, and have your full education behind you at 22 years of age and have a go at full time football then.
No brainer for me.

The chance to sign for Dundalk may not come again, he should jump at it.
The is in no way inspired by any desire to see him get the hell out of the first division this year.
#NeverStopNotGivingUp
Looks like he'll be staying... for now anyway

It didn't do Robbie Benson any harm staying at UCD until he was 23 playing in the First Division while he completed his Masters
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians
The lad has good options, whichever way he goes. Neither option is a poor one.
Mysterious... It originally read:
FAKE NEWS
So that leads one to question, is it no longer fake news? or did someone get in his ear and tell him to delete that as it might look bad? Or was it one of the LADS at UCD who took his phone and tweeted it out as top notch bantering because they are, loike, pure legends, loike.
Mon the Town!
How many questions in that one question?
Rather than taking up the resources of the Player/Athlete, maybe fans can return to the journalist/hack and question them. The hack would love the attention and consider his work justified.
I've used the presumed south Dublin speak myself (poster below). But our Fans are from everywhere, just like the Players.

Georgie, Georgie they call him the Belfield boy...
You’re welcome UCD fans. I’m curious to see if anyone else remembers that tune now.

https://youtu.be/0d4xbt93gKA Had a video about Best my dad bought me when I was a kid and I could be heard singing that song for years afterwards. Great memories.
Yeah I have a memory of him having some kind of a testimonial game in the late 80s and that song being on the TV before it.

Rumours that Blues are signing a free agent defender from England. We only have four defenders in the squad with John Kavanagh out injured for a good while. If he's a free agent would it still be July before he can play?
