Bray suddenly happy to sell Connolly a few months after looking for near 100k then signing him up to a 2 year contract suggests something wasn't going well between the player and the club.

I think he is a smashing footballer with alot of natural ability but even when he was blossoming at Shels I wasn't sure if he ever had the head to become a top player and wasn't surprised to him return so quickly from Ipswich. He has a great opportunity now, he's still young and but he's going to have to up his game to justify Dundalk paying compensation and to reach anywhere the level Horgan repayed Dundalk on the pitch
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians

Earlier this month, the Seagulls reached a settlement with former boss Mick Cooke after a legal dispute arising from the manner of his departure.

plus it takes a lot to pay wages to a fairly decent squad when your getting attendances of 500!!

Dylan played really well last season, especially in the second half.
This season has been a totally different story - I have seen him in most games this season and his form has been very average. He has not been nearly as big a threat - the questions are - Have defenders copped on to his style? Were his heart and head elsewhere? or is he over-rated?
At times this season he has looked totally disinterested - a totally different story to last season which is a pity. I thought he was one of the best players in the league last season - this season he has deserved to be subbed off regularly. Aaron Greene is playing much better on the wing than him, with a much better work rate and attitude.
I hope he can find his form again as he has the potential to be a very exciting player.

Hasn't lived up to last season in any way, runs with the ball but doesn't look around to give the pass, or he just keeps running and looses the ball. Most disappointed player this year, hopefully kenny can get more out of him..

Was very effective last year when no one copped on how to defend against him, this year different story and has been found out , still has the raw potential to be good player but has done himself no favors on how he manipulated his way out of Bray or was manipulated

He signed for Bray for nothing (unless my mind is going..possible) scored a bunch of goals and left for a fat transfer fee that benefits the club..........its not exactly the Brennans

You do realise that by signing the 2 year deal it meant Bray received the transfer fee. He could easily have seen out his contract and left for nothing.

Dave Mooney has gone back to Leyton Orient on a two year deal so no LOI return for another while.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

His wage demands was never going to be achievable by a LOI club, I heard figures before and these were not in our league lets say, it also included accommodation.

If their lead is cut to single digits then surely there will be massive pressure on Caulfield to do the decent thing and walk away...

Whatever about the league, surely any chance of Europa League group stages have totally evaporated with those three missing?

Possibly only by 9 after Wednesday!

I don't see how any Bray fan can have a complaint re Connolly, by signing that contract in the winter he ensured they had to get a transfer fee, and as it was suggested above by sbgawa he joined for free.

Realistically that was never going to happen regardless. The route bia the Europa league qualifiers is just too hard. We could do great, win two round. Then end up against Milan or Everton. Even if we did somehow win a third round tie, there's another tie with even stronger teams before the group stages.

The only real route to the Europa group stages for an LOI team is via the CL

And that route is a b!tch if you are unseeded.

For us to get to the group stages this year, we have to beat a good Rosenborg side and then beat an even better side.

Caulfield has been right to manage European expectations. It is a tough tough competition.

Yeah, there's definitely no easy way regardless. Its complex draw dependent.
