Danny Kane has only been used as a left back so far. The rest of your post is spot on. (other than a misspelling of McCarthy).

We've been assuming Tobi would leave in the summer for a while. Barry may well move too. I think Kane will stay, might even get a start tomorrow at left back against Sligo, he came on last Monday after a poor enough performance from Griffin.

I’m not sure that’s right. Why would any professional footballer turn down a contract at a PL club to come home to Ireland. It would surely be the other way around.

Good signing by Cork, but more you think of it, this guy is coming back to put his feet up. If you look at previous examples like Miller and Healy, did they really contribute that much, not sure they won a trophy actually ?

Colin Healy won the 2016 FAI cup.

Delaney putting his feet up? Lol. You keep telling yourself that.

You can't actually be serious with this post? Did Colin Healy contribute that much?! Played for us for 9 seasons, one of the best players to ever have played for us and scored the best technical goal at Turners Cross. . Now the head of our academy. If Delaney contributes even 10% of what Healy did, he'll be a roaring success.

Some players are motivated to play for their hometown club. Damien has played with us before and seems very positive about coming back. We'll see how much of an impact he has.

He could be right, here's video evidence of Colin Healy putting his feet up

As a Dundalk fan, that’s the stupidest comment I’ve seen in a long long time.

Healy was a class act for Cork

The more players that come back and play in the LOI the better particularly with the underage set ups developing. Having players around who the kids can learn from can only be a good thing

Completely forgot about Healy winning the FAI Cup and also totally insensitive remark given Miller's untimely death. I completely withdraw the remark and apologies for any offence caused.

Didn't Colin Healy make the team of the year in 2014 or 2015? I think he was nominated for player of the year. Healy was incredible. Miller didn't live up to expectations but there may have been medical reasons for that.
Delaney is coming from a much higher level than either of those. Maybe he won't be a superstar but id wager he'll be among the best defenders in the league if he has the right attitude towards the league.

LMFM are also reporting that Georgie Kelly will sign from UCD.

LMFM understands that a deal to take 1st Div top scorer Georgie Kelly to Oriel has been fully agreed. UCD boss Collie O'Neill wouldn't confirm the switch after their 2-0 win over Drogheda last night but LMFM sources are clear that agreement has been reached.

Would he be a replacement for Adorjan or would you end up with both? Is Adorjan staying beyond July 1st?

As a Cork City fan I hope Dundalk bring McEleney back, give him a lifetime contract and play him in every game against us.

Top signing for Cork. Has he got the legs and is he injury prone, always the two questions when a top level player moves to LOI. I cant see fitness being a problem for him, especially a CB who will be well able to sit back and read the game at this level. I dunno how injury prone he is!

The most interesting question here is what are they paying him? Obviously it will be a massive drop in wages for him but it could be silly season again for LOI wages.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!

Apparently he made the call, not us. So, while I'd imagine he's at the top end, I'd be surprised if it was extortionate. He's played with us before, on the same team as John Caulfield actually, and won an FAI youths cup with Alan Bennett. So, they know him well. There's only ever positives words said about this guy. I'm a big fan.
