Thanks lads. Yeah I guess it's a case of him being released by his club around Christmas maybe so he'd be available to play immediately. I hear he's a young right back/defensive midfielder so would help with our lack of squad depth.

Hahaha No....I won't rule Sheasy out of coming home though!! I hear now that this player might be signing with an English Championship club and being loaned to us so that would mean he wouldn't be available until July. He trained with us for the last few weeks apparently.
So, Ronan Curtis is away to Portsmouth at some point, confirms Kenny Shiels is a strange, nautically-themed way.

Aaron McEneff could be away as well.
Paul Cook is interested.

There was talk that Dundalk had expressed an interest in the winter, Derry had valued him in 6 figures, end of interest, as he'd be free end of season, but if any side from championship or even L1 comes in, no contest with wages.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
Not sure if McEneff would be Cook's type of player. He likes players who are disciplined and can do a bit of everything as well as playing passing football. McEneff is explosive and obviously scores lots of goals but he'd be the sort of player you give a bit of freedom to not track back, etc.
Ronan Curtis is off to Portsmouth today, while another club is also interested. Portsmouth offering £250k plus add-ons being talked about.
