According to a twitter account, Aaron Barry has turned down Rover's to sign for us. Would be a great signing if true.

Not saying he's not a decent player but I would have thought we had other positions to fill

We can't afford to compete with a club paying the fourth-biggest wages in the league.

That's a hotly contested title. I think we were in the running at one stage.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

And no doubt you'll be telling us that young Aaron turned Rovers down even though he was offered multiples of what cork are offering, cos he loves that Barry's tea, or something.

Who can, lucky for the rest of us it's a strict budget

Well, yeah. We told him it was named after him. Job done.

I do not like criticizing players but if i i was voting on one player to be dropped it would Luke Byrne he had a very poor season IMO. Still has potential but not sure how Bradely and the boys get it out of him. We do need another quality full back and a striker of course.

I personally thought as the season went on bar the last game you could see a real improvement in Byrnes game. I really like the byrne clarke combo on the left, byrne isn't the most attacking player so he allows clarke to not have as much defensive duties which suit clarke i think

I think he should play Clarke as a left wing back and grace behind lopes and byrne in the middle of a back 5 with Madden on the right
In fairness to Byrne he missed a whole season and came back having not done a full preseason for this year so he deserves a break

Rovers fans, what do you reckon you'll end up doing with Kevin Horgan? Didn't get much game time last year.

He was very good I thought in the last few matches when they were giving him a run out instead of Tomar
I guess it will come down to if he is told he is still number two....another year of not playing a lot wouldn't seem that attractive.
    I'd like him to stay

The lad needs games. He'd be our No.1 if we got him back in Galway, but I'd say it's unlikely to happen.

Bradley signed him as a long-term option so I'd be surprised if he left after one season. I think he'll still either stick with Tomer as #1 or get a new keeper in.

Town have signed Chris Mulhall, last with Drogs I believe.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

A bit of a blunt instrument, but at FD level that was enough when he was with us, scored goals and made goals.

A really hardworking player with a fantastic attitude.
