What a bad week for Nicky Colgan. Firstly he is dropped from Brian Kerrs squad in favour of Murphy (Walsall), then he goes on loan from Barnsley to Dundee Utd where, on his first appearance he concedes 7 goals.

Always look on the bright side of life
And they were against Rangers!
I think he's been quite lucky though. He's not international standard by a long way & yet he'll be able to say for the rest of his life he has played in goal for Ireland. I reckon he's probably made a half-decent living to date too.
I've felt for a while now that the no.3 goalkeeping slot should go to a younger player who'll learn from the experience.

By the way Nicky saved a penalty too
He's a really good 'keeper. Was great for Hibs, just fell out with the old manager Bobby Williamson

Spare a thought for Nicky Colgan?![]()
Spare a thought for those of us have pinned our allegiance to the Terrors more like...
And after Dundee United were desperately unlucky to have to settle for a draw against the Huns a coupla weeks ago it's a bit hard to take in.
The ball is round and has many surprises.
2nd time he conceded 7 this seasonLet in 7 for Barnsley against Man City.
Strange coincidence that Waterreus was in goals for Man City that night.
That actually is an amazing coincedence. He must spike his opposing keeper.Originally Posted by drinkfeckarse
