Reading a bit too much into it there Id say! Your not name dropping by saying you know some reporters are you?

Okay, you make a fair point about the team et al, I just disagree with you. But what you may have forgotten about Flynn is that he was new to the club, it was going to take him time to settle into a new team with new 'workmates'. He did impress me, from what I saw. He seemed to be maturing and getting a bit of confidence. How long has NH been around? Who did he score his goals against?

This is really a waste of time. We have been bickering for months/years on this one and no closer to a solution. Although I thaought Mountfield had solved it, but sure we all know what happened next.

Exactly. The bickering is such a waste of time. I've no problem disagreeing with people but some people keep taking it down to a level of personal attacks and abuse which is childish and pathetic. Can we just end it, agree to differ and get on with supporting City? Thank you

Yea maybe the club could sponsor me to stay over here full-time

anyway on the hartigan debate...while i agree with some of what u say Peadar as i do with some ...some of eanna's sentiments...you missed a great deal of the hartigan ****e through - aug/sept/oct....while u were overseas working just as I am missing it now..and in that period ...the guy was shockingly lazy ...dont mind your decepively slow theory

the point of playing the bigman option is that he wins his fair share of ball in the air and the simple fact was that Noel was being outjumped by smaller defenders...or on occassion he wouldnt even jump at all...hence he did look lazy...even tracking back and things like that he wouldnt do ..

now you point about noel and colin p or whoever deserving so many games to play together to develop a partnership..is fair enough...but why wasnt stevo flynn given the same luxury..
i saw him play well in a number of preseason games..but then he oly get a minimal number of chances at the start of the season...compared to big Noel
    life is random

You both have a tabloid view of football. Everything is a controversy and everyone has ulterior motives.
It comes from supporting Cork City FC, where a lot of the time controversy and alterior motives are the name of the game. With people of the calibre of Noel O'Mahoney and Michael O'Leary around I always keep my wallet in my inside pocket.
O'Flynn got a run at the start of the season and didn't do very much to get excited about
    Disagree.
Noel Hartigan was very much a part of our recovery and got important goals. he worked hard on the field
    No.

thats a good idea ? he doesnt run p front so his hardly going to run in defence and he would cost us even more points

The guy isn't a bad defender. maybe no better than whats there already, but he's worth a squad place at the back.

A striker's sole job is to score goals, I dont think that there is too much argument with that.

Noel & CPOB have played about the same amount of games this year. Noel has scored more then CPOB yet gets heckeled more than CP who is constantly cheered when he touches the ball. Im all for CP getting cheered, and we all know that he has a lot of natural talent (certanly more than Noel) but for strikers, its goals that count. Its been months now since CP has scored, yet nothing was said when Noel helped get us out of a very imbarrasing moment in Monaghan a few weeks ago. If Noel can only score against weaker teams, well at least he can score!
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.
