Sorry about that...let's see if I can do it: Wow, we're playing terrible this campaign and our six-point lead over Austria is merely a mirage that will disappear when Glenn Whelan returns from injury and our incompetent management team drops Wes Hoolahan, who is our only player capable of passing a ball - how about that for starters?

Fantastic. The utter despair and frankness you display is what we want to read on here, it's good to feel constantly depressed!

Seriously? Sweden, Italy and Belgium? Something fishy about that

To be fair when you see how they decide the coefficients for the elite stage, there's nothing fishy at all. We were just very unlucky.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!

I'm not talking about the quality of the group per se - I'm noting how awfully familiar it looks...

Mohan's side travel to Belgium for the Elite Phase next month to meet the hosts, Italy and Sweden with only one spot available for the finals in Georgia this summer.
"This is another good opportunity for us to get the players together and help our preparations for the UEFA Elite Phase in March," said Mohan.
"A couple of players were unavailable due to club commitments but we've brought in some players who've done well recently and it's a chance to stake their claim for involvement in the Elite Phase.
"We held a home-based assessment game against the ETB squad prior to Christmas and some of those players have earned their place in this squad. We have watched them in pre-season games and it will be good to bring them in with the other players.
"The games we'll play will all be good tests and the tournament format will also be very beneficial ahead of what's a testing Elite Phase. This is a good group of players and we're looking forward to working with them in Spain."

Elite round kicks off this week against Italy on Thursday, but the squad still hasn't been announced.

Dan McKenna tweeted that he's meeting up with the squad: https://twitter.com/Dan_McKenna1/sta...37980051214336
Off to meet up with Ireland now and hopefully qualify for the Euros- 3 tough games out in Belgium but looking forward to them
And Coventry announced that Darragh Leahy is in the squad: http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/darragh-leahy-international-call-up-republic-of-ireland-3629907.aspx

Coventry City's Under-23s defender Darragh Leahy has been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-19 squad for their upcoming fixtures.

The Republic of Ireland will travel to Belgium, to take place in the UEFA European Under-19 Elite Round from March 18th-29th.

The 18-year old will travel with the squad tomorrow afternoon, with games against Sweden, Italy and host's Belgium.

Has a cryptic posting on his twitter for the 16th March about been true to yourself no matter what. What nonsense by the way. Hopefully it's not the case

O'Connor played for Southampton U18's against Brighton recently but came off in the second half, and didn't play their next game against Leicester
No mention of an injury in the match reports, but he might be unavailable
