What sort of tickets did he apply for?Originally Posted by cullenswood
thats a bit weird - they said they wouldnt be deducting money until mid may. I'd be asking questions, especially given the fact that no mail was received.Originally Posted by cullenswood
Resign, now!
Tickets were always going to be a huge issue.
Looks like the odds were pretty long.
I'm going to try and grab a few individual matches or maybe an Iran TST.
If we do qualify I'll be at the mercy of the F.A.I. ticket office.
I think he applied for TST-7 tickets. Must get on to him again to confirmOriginally Posted by Dawn_Run

1 in 4 seems a bit off??!!![]()

any chance a mod would stick a poll up on this? Just to get numbers on applications v rejections from foot.ie
Resign, now!
Sorry one and all to hear the bad news,I expected a few people at least to be jumping for joy this morning on here! Maybe they are really limiting tickets sold during each phase or maybe we are underestimating the amount of irish fans that will go to this. I did not apply for this phase as i did not have the money but i will be applying for the next one. It's going to be tough!![]()
Got nothing. (e-mail 4.05 am)applied for a mastercard especially for this and all the s*ite i had to go through to get it. Probally all the nothings that have no interest in football will get tickets. What can we do now??There has to be another way??
my mate applied for himself and me cos Ive no mastercard
but he hasnt got back to me to say if the application was
successful.
We went for the Cat 2 TST-7 tickets

1 in 4 is probably right but not for all tickets.
However there is a limited number of TSTs per country so the odds in getting an Ireland TST are probably 1 in 10 or 1 in 20. If you applied for an Ivory Coast TST you have a 100% success rate as everyone got them.
If you just picked random games you have a 1 in 4 chance. Likewise if you picked the final you probably have a 1 in 50 chance or even worse.
Only hope now is that some people may not pay for them or gave bad credit card details. Only realistic chance of getting Irish tickets now is the F.A.I. allocation or just book individual games and hope we end up playing in them - eg A2 v A4 in Stuttgart on June 12th kickoff 3.30pm (not a real game) book that and come the draw you have Ireland v England.................or more likely Ivory Coast v Costa Rica.![]()
Are all these rejection's that everybody is getting for TST series tickets. I applied for 3 single tickets and have got no e-mail yet this morning. Anybody else in the same boat???
Got TST rejection and so did my brother...
Mate who had his mastercard charge dfor 1 of the 4 games he applied for hasn't heard yet.Originally Posted by teckno
Good chance you have got 1 game or maybe more.
Most people here are talking about TSTs I assume as Irish games (if we make it) are the priority.
According to the website some games were 39 times oversubscribed (final I assume or maybe German games) therefore you had a 1 in 39 chance if you applied for that.
I'm not a happy bunny at having missed out but in fairness I can't find any fault yet with the way it has been done.
Well I can. Selling tickets on the internet gives touts a free rein.Originally Posted by gspain

E-bay has made the touts game so much easier. They don't even have to travel to a venue now! How many U2 tickets will be sold on E-bay by people who have never even been to Ireland?
Kicking myself I didn't just go for match specific tickets
